Dozier also provided solid defense at second base to win the club's annual Defensive Player of the Year Award, and finished fifth among all second basemen in Wins Above Replacement (WAR), according to Fangraphs.com.
MIN@DET: Dozier saves a run with a great diving stop
9/27/14: With runners on second and third, Brian Dozier dives to prevent a ground ball from reaching the outfield and gets the out at first
But Dozier, who is representing the Twins on their annual Winter Caravan throughout the Upper Midwest this week, isn't ready to rest on his laurels and believes he can be even better in '15.
"I think last year, individually it went good, but there's always room to improve on a lot of different things," Dozier said. "So for me, I've said this a million times, but to be a guy at the top of the order you have to get on base. It's essential."
After playing in 147 games in '13 and 156 games in '14, Dozier has adjusted his offseason workout regimen. He used to start baseball activities in November, but pushed it back until after the New Year this offseason.
Dozier remained active, playing plenty of golf and hunting in his native Mississippi early in the offseason, while starting his workout program in November. He also found time to make themission trip to Nicaragua for a second straight offseason, and celebrated his one-year anniversary with his wife, Renee, there in early January.
"It was good," Dozier said. "Last year, we dug trenches for their water, but this year was totally different. We did concrete and nailing in boards and things like that to help build a school. So it was completely different, but every time you go down there, you come back with a feeling I can't describe."
After attending the Twins Caravan, the Diamond Awards and TwinsFest this weekend, Dozier will head back to Mississippi before heading to Fort Myers, Fla., for Spring Training in mid-February.

January 20, 2015 - USL PRO (USL PRO) Arizona United SC SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Tuesday, January 20, 2015) - Looking to build upon the foundation from last year's inaugural season, Arizona United Soccer Club announces the re-signing of key defenders London Woodberry and Tyler Ruthven.
The additions of Woodberry and Ruthven increases Arizona United SC's roster size to eight players under contract for the 2015 season.
"London had a very successful year for us in 2014," said Arizona United SC Head Coach Michael Dellorusso. "He is beginning to come into his own at the professional level. He is a valuable player for our club and will play a big part in our success this season."
Entering his third professional season, Woodberry re-joins Arizona United SC after scoring three goals in 26 appearances in all competitions in 2014. Woodberry notched his first professional goal in Arizona United SC's thrilling 3-2 win over the Portland Timbers U-23s in the second round of the U.S. Open Cup.
"I'm very pleased to be coming back for my second season with Arizona United," London Woodberry added. "I'm looking forward to having a great season with a lot of success."
Woodberry recorded his first USL PRO goal against the Sacramento Republic FC, and closed out his scoring account with a late-season goal against the Seattle Sounders Reserves. Woodberry appeared in all three of Arizona United SC's U.S. Open Cup matches, going the distance against the OKC Energy FC in the third round and Major League Soccer's LA Galaxy in the fourth.
The former Homegrown player signee played in FC Dallas' United States Soccer Development Academy before joining the University of Maryland Terrapins in 2009. At Maryland, Woodberry appeared in 77 matches, scored four goals, and notched four assists.
Woodberry's relationship with Dellorusso extends to his collegiate days at the University of Maryland. From 2010-12, Woodberry was coached by Dellorusso, who served as the top assistant for the Terrapins.

Sydney FC have continued to rebuild their squad during the January transfer window with the signing of former Australian youth international, Robert Stambolziev.
The 24-year-old left-winger is the Sky Blues' third addition of the summer following the arrival of Senegalese internationals Mickael Tavares and Jacques Faty and comes in as an injury replacement for striker Corey Gameiro, who is out for the season.
The attacking player adds much-needed pace to Sydney's attack after a heavy injury toll that ruled out Gameiro and winger Ali Abbas for the rest of the campaign, but he might not be free to play against Central Coast Mariners on Saturday night.
Stambolziev has been having trials with Sydney for a number of weeks, but the club is still awaiting Stambolziev's international transfer clearance, which may not arrive until after the January 24 match.

"It's great to be able to bring in an attacking Australian player who will add depth to our attacking line-up," Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold said.
"He's got pace and can play out wide as well and has good experience playing in England, Greece and Cyprus over the last eight years."
Stambolziev first moved abroad in 2007 with Bristol City's youth team before joining Greek giants Panathinaikos. He did not make a senior appearance with the Athens club before spending time in the lower leagues of Greece, then moving to Olympiacos Nicosia of Cyprus. After more than seven seasons abroad, Stambolziev was happy to return to Australia to sign his first A-League contract.
"I've been here for a short time on trial and I've been able to see the huge amount of quality in this squad," Stambolziev said.
"I know Graham Arnold has a reputation as a great coach and the club has a family feel and a good culture among the players."

12.05 Gabriel Paulista to Arsenal continues to gather pace today after Villarreal coach Marcelino admitted the player could be sold this month.
"I hadn't considered selling Gabriel, it's bad news from a sporting point of view," Marcelino told Spanish radio. "If both Gabriel and the club believe that his sale to Arsenal is the best for all parties, we will accept."
And here are the full details of the Krystian Bielik deal from Jeremy Wilson.

11.51 Raphael Varane says he is "happy" at Real Madrid but reading between the lines, could he secretly be seeking a move away? The defender has been limited to first-team action which has prompted interest from United, Chelsea and PSG.
I am happy, the team is at 100 per cent and my contract runs until 2020, Varane told Get French Football. And adds: I am calm. When Im called on to play I want to do my best.
That could be intrepretated as: "If only the team weren't as successful I could get my chance. My blood is boiling. I'm not even given a decent run out off the bench. I want out."
Jose Mourinho gave the defender his Madrid defender and could come in with a 20m to save him from his 'nightmare' (a little OTT?)

Smart thermostats are so hot right now, so its no wonder heating and air conditioning specialist Carrier is getting into the game. At CES 2015, the company introduced Cr, its own smart thermostat.
The market isnt exactly crowded, but it is dominated byNest and Honeywells Lyric. Still, it makes sense for Carrier to get in the game. The company has been in business for 100 years and was founded by Willis Carrier, the inventor of modern air conditioning.
Please enable Javascript to watch this video
Its clear Carrier has the expertise to back up Cr, but whats less obvious is what sets the device apart from its predecessors. Carrier claims the thermostat will reduce heating and cooling costs by 20 percent, which is on par with Nest. Users can control the device via mobile apps and get reports on their energy usage, much like with similar thermostats. While Cr claims its simple to use, Carrier recommends professional installation. Its competitors are usually fairly easy to self-install.
The style of heater your home has hasnt been much of a problem for Nest or Lyric, which are compatible with most all of them. Carriers products include air conditioners and furnaces, so if it can get ahead of the innovation game there, it could have the upper hand on its competition one day.
