Demolition to start on key town centre buildings this month - February 12, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

    11 Feb 2014 10:17

Council bosses say work to tear down the old bus station and car park will start in late February

The demolition of two town centre landmark buildings will begin this month.

Council bosses say work to tear down the old bus station and car park will start in late February.

Demolition crews will then knock down the old ' Black Box ' municipal offices.

The project is expected to take nine months to complete. It's part of the 100m redevelopment of the town centre, which will see shops, restaurants.

While demolition work is ongoing a new entrance to the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre on Baillie Street will be built to replace the overhead walkway linked to the bus station.

Rochdale council s cabinet member for economic development, Coun Peter Williams, said the move was a big step forward in the regeneration of the town centre while demolition crews vowed to minimise disruption while the work takes place.

A town hall spokesperson said demolition experts Connell Brothers would begin by removing the two access ramps to the old bus station car park at the end of the month.

They will then begin leveling the rest of the 1970s building.

West Star Aviation Receives Approval For Installation Of PMA Replacement Waste Drain Valve For Hawker Aircraft - February 12, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

East Alton, Il, February 7, 2014West Star Aviation recently announced they are now offering a Waste Drain Valve Modification for Hawker 800, 800XP, and 850XP. The valve is manufactured and certified under FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval PMA and replaces the factory installed valve, which allows leakage and the potential for corrosion.

The factory installed valve on the Hawker 800/800XP/850XP aircraft requires a T-Handle tool to remove the secondary pressurization plug or donut. If this plug is re-installed incorrectly, or in some cases not installed at all, the opportunity for leakage is greatly increased. This presents the possibility of the user being soaked during servicing as well as a potential risk for corrosion damage.

In addition, if the plug is missing, the MMEL for the Hawker states the aircraft is restricted to unpressurized flight and a ceiling of 15,000 ft. until it is replaced. This can cause dispatch problems of hours or days if the aircraft is in a part of the world where parts support is difficult.

Most Hawker operators are familiar with the unpleasant task of draining their lavatory waste tank, said Kendall Kreiling, Hawker Program Manager, West Star Aviation. We can install a significantly improved version of the valve, which will eliminate the corrosion and downtime risk, as well as make the whole process much simpler for operators.

The new valve features a spring-loaded internal fluid valve that opens with the small external level after the ground service cart duct is connected. This eliminates the mess if the tank valve leaks. Closing the internal valve is as simple as closing the cap with the over-center lever.

This modification can easily be incorporated with maintenance, avionics installation, paint or interior services at West Star. To learn more about the modification or see photos please visit http://www.weststaraviation.com/airframes/hawker, or contact Kendall Kreiling at 800-255-4193, or kkreiling@wsa.aero.

Bryant Police Release Video of Daycare Worker Dragging Child - February 12, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

BRYANT, AR - One day after arresting a daycare worker for dragging a child across a carpet, Bryant Police release video of the incident.

Keyuanna Coats was arrested at the Wisdom Tree Learning Center Tuesday afternoon and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Officers were called to the facility after the 8-month-old boy's mother said she noticed carpet burns on her son the night before after picking him up from the center.

Police say Coats admitted to investigators that she had dragged the boy across the carpeted floor twice.

In one of the two short videos attached here, she is seen kicking the child's arm away from what appears to be a trash bag before dragging him to the other side of the room.

The worker said she never intended to cause harm to the child, who kept getting into an area where cleaning supplies were stored.

About the Max II Dual Tank ULV Fogger

A fogger is an essential piece of gear in various industries, including Jan-San, Fire and Flood Restoration, Pest Control, Carpet Cleaning and Air Duct Cleaning. The Max II Dual Tank Fogger was designed with the goal in mind of saving a workers time and space. In a traditional scenario, multiple foggers can be needed on a job, each containing a different solution.

Air Duct Cleaning and Fire Restoration are industries which require that multiple solutions be used on a single job. Its not uncommon for a technician to make extra trips up and down a ladder for refilling the fogger tank, or switching to a different solution. The only other option is to carry two separate foggers. Eliminating the extra trip and/or cargo, as the case may be, is of great benefit to the person doing the job.

In any service business, efficiency is critical. Completing a job in the shortest amount of time possible means more jobs, and more money. Here is a product that will help to reduce your labor cost, while also reducing how much equipment is required on a job.
