Workers are scheduled to demolish the county Highway C bridge over Interstate-94 this week as part of the Highway 20 interchange reconstruction project in Racine County.
Demolition is expected to begin Wednesday night, depending on weather, and continue through April 7. The work will require multiple overnight freeway closures on I-94 in Racine County from county Highway K to state Highway 20. Signs will direct motorists to detours.
The Highway C bridge will be closed to traffic until late fall. Motorists who normally use Highway C can travel on Highway 20.
The Highway 20 interchange project this year includes reconstruction of the Highway C bridge over I-94, the I-94 northbound bridge over Highway 20, entrance and exit ramps to and from I-94 northbound and the I-94 main line at Highway 20.

Projects draw FBI queries -

Troy
The FBI has interviewed some city officials about the handling of development projects and the quick decision to conduct a controversial emergency demolition, city leaders have confirmed.
City Engineer Russ Reeves was recently accompanied by Corporation Counsel Ian Silverman for an interview at the FBI's Albany Field Office about the Aug. 5 demolition of a dilapidated King Street property adjacent to the new Bombers Burrito Bar at 2 King St., officials said.
The questioning appeared to be focused on Bill Dunne, the city's commissioner of planning and economic development, and Fire Chief Thomas Garrett's decision to knock down the building, city sources said.
This comes as the FBI white-collar-crime unit has joined forces with Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's Public Integrity Bureau to investigate allegations of government corruption at the state and local level.
The task force work led to the indictment last fall of former Halfmoon Supervisor Melinda Wormuth, a Republican, on charges of bribery and grand larceny related to her official duties. As well, it brought about last week's raids on the offices, hotel room and home of Assemblyman William Scarborough, D-Queens, who is under investigation for alleged travel voucher abuse.
In the Troy investigation, agents asked extensive questions about the emergency demolition of 4, 6, 8 and 10 King St. and the installation of a sidewalk in North Central, sources said. The redevelopment of the Scolite property in South Troy also has brought scrutiny from the FBI. Dunne has helped guide the city's actions in proceeding with this project.
Mayor Lou Rosamilia confirmed the interview took place. He said the FBI has neither asked for any documents nor served the city with any subpoenas for city records about the projects. The mayor said it's always a concern when the FBI asks questions.
The FBI did not respond to a request for comment.
Dunne, Garrett and Reeves referred questions to Silverman. Dunne and Garrett were unaware of the FBI's interest.

Craven County property records show the duplex at 612-614 Bern St. was built in 1925.
A house in the Dryborough area that was targeted for demolition got another reprieve last week after New Bern aldermen tabled the action for 90 days to see if the owner will repair it.
An ordinance to demolish the dwelling at 612-614 Bern St. came before the board Feb. 25, but Alderman Dallas Blackiston asked that it be tabled until last Tuesday because he wanted more information and he thought the house could be a contributing historical structure in Dryborough.
Alderman Bernard White was also against the demolition.
The house may be deteriorating on the inside, but on the outside it looks as good as some in the historic district, White said.
The structure is a duplex and suffered substantial wind and water damage related to Hurricane Irene.
White asked why houses in the historic district were being repaired and houses in Dryborough were being torn down.
Jeff Ruggieri, director of Development Services, said the city was not allowed to demolish houses in the historic district. But the dwelling that is being considered for demolition is not in a historic designation, he said.
Alderman Victor Taylor asked if there has been any correspondence with the homeowner, but Ruggieri said there has been no progress. A couple of hours before the meeting, Ruggieri said he received notice that the homeowner retained Jimmy Dillahunt, planning board member and contractor, to see if there was asbestos or lead paint that needed removing from the dwelling, but that was a small part of what needed to be done, he said.
Development Services works with property owners to come up with a plan and a time schedule that needs to be followed to avoid fines, Ruggieri said.
