The new 87,776-square-foot office will keep Comcast's regional headquarters in Gwinnett County and will house the company's 532 full-time local employees on four floors at 6200 The Corners Pky.
The space will also feature build-out for a demonstration lab and Comcast University, the company's employee training program.
The mass media giant, which currently employs approximately 4,000 in Georgia, will hire an additional 150 employees for its new headquarters and disclosed plans to hire 150 more at its existing technical support service center located on North Point Pky. in Alpharetta.
Lindsay Martin, director of existing industry and regional recruitment at the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), helped facilitate Comcast's deal on behalf of Georgia, along with Partnership Gwinnett and Progress Partners of North Fulton.
Dom Wyant of JLL negotiated the lease with Kay Younglove and Adam Viente, also of JLL. Wyant represented Comcast, while Younglove and Viente negotiated on behalf of building owner, Wells Real Estate Funds.

Editor's Note: A previous version of this news report erroneously reported that a newly formed technology firm, 5Q Partners, had leased a large amount of space at 6200 The Corners Pky. That information was included in error and has since been removed from this updated version.
CleaResult provides energy programs to schools, governments, businesses and homeowners. This past fall, the company acquired PECI, (formerly Portland Energy Conservation Inc.) founded by the Portland City Council and whose offices were housed at First & Main.
The 16-story, 364,779-square-foot, 5-Star office building was constructed in 2010 on one acre in the city's CBD submarket. The property is home to Interface Engineering, the DEA, USPS, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

AN OFFICE building that has been empty for years and the wasteland around it will be turned into housing after planning consent was granted.
Developers have been given permission by Blackburn with Darwen Council to level Mayfield House in Tockholes Road and build six new homes on the site.
MORE TOP STORIES:
Local businessman and landowner Dave Standen, who owns PrintOne UK in Grimshaw Street, plans to build the six houses as two sets of semi-detached homes with single detached houses on either side of the development, and each house will have a driveway big enough for two cars, plus a front yard and grassed garden.
A planning document submitted on Mr Standens behalf by ATC Construction Design Ltd said: Currently there is a commercial single storey building on the site that has been vacant for several years.
The proposed plot is surrounded by other domestic properties and a further commercial building, which is currently attached to Mayfield House.
The site has been vacated for several years and both the building and the site has fallen into disrepair. The current building is a poor construction and has reached the end of its useful life.
The proposed properties will replace the existing Mayfield House which is in a very poor state.
The building is not in keeping with the surrounding residential properties. To the rear Mayfield house is a large overgrown area which is regularly used by fly tippers and has a lot of anti social behaviour.
The proposal will remove this eyesore and provide something that is in keeping with the area thus improving the street scene.

Use a sunroom to enhance and expand your living space
Sunrooms continue to be one of the most popular home additions for all kinds of homes. No matter what kind of home you live in, or what its value, a sunroom can enhance the value of your home and provide you and your family with additional living space.
Sunrooms are very popular among nature lovers, since they provide an unobstructed view of the world outdoors, but a view unencumbered by bugs and other outdoor problems. Sunrooms are also a great way to enjoy the beauty of the outdoor surroundings even when the weather is too cold or too rainy to go outdoors. They can also be a great way to enjoy the outdoor world season after season, all for a price that may be lower than you think.
Sunrooms are also great for gardeners, since they provide a wonderful showcase room for plants, as well as an optimal growing environment. Many great plants thrive in this type of environment that would not normally be suited for the indoors. Besides the many different varieties of plants and flowers that can be used, the inclusion of these plants and flowers can make the sunroom even more inviting.
Another great use for a sunroom is as a home for a hot tub or spa. Few things are as relaxing as a dip in a whirlpool tub while watching the outside world drift by.
How much does a sunroom cost?
Many people think that a sunroom is beyond their means, but the fact is that sunrooms generally cost about the same or typically less than a traditional room addition. Even though a sunroom may cost a bit more up front, however, they may add even more in home value than they cost. Unlike other costly home additions, such as swimming pools, a sunroom can actually enhance the resale value of a home.
How long does a sunroom take to build?
One of the most frequently asked questions about sunrooms is how long they take to build. How long it takes to complete a sunroom addition depends, of course, on how large the addition will be, and on the skill of the contractor you hire.
In general, however, a sunroom addition should take anywhere from a few weeks to about a month. Most contractors who are experienced at building sunrooms will be able to give you a good idea of how long the addition will take when they provide their estimate.

(BPT) - Its a sobering truth of real estate that sellers often have to spend money to make money. Even if your home is relatively new, you still face costs associated with getting it ready to show, such as repainting interior rooms or hiring professional cleaners and stagers. If your home could use some TLC and updating, spending as little as $5,000 on key upgrades could improve its appeal for buyers and ensure a speedier sale at a better price.
Here are five upgrades you can make for under than $5,000 to help put your home at the top of every buyers must-see list this spring.
1. Upgrade your entryway Replacing an old, dated or worn entry door can be a cost-effective way to ensure buyers get a good first impression when they walk in your house. Whether you choose a fiberglass, wooden or steel model, installing a new entry door can cost a few thousand dollars, yet the return on investment at the time of resale can be significant. A fiberglass entry door returns about 72 percent of its investment, while a steel door recoups more than 100 percent of its value, according to Remodeling Magazines Cost vs. Value report.
Enhance your new door with attractive plantings, fresh paint and clean windows around the entryway to create a memorable, attractive entry for just a few thousand dollars.
2. Increase natural light More buyers are becoming aware of the mood- and productivity-enhancing benefits of natural light, and homes with big, bright windows have always been in demand. Adding windows to a room can be a costly, time-consuming affair. Not so with adding a skylight. For well under $5,000 and in just a day or two, a professional can install an Energy Star qualified, solar powered no-leak fresh-air skylight, like those from Velux America. Professional installation costs nationally ranges from around $900 to $2,325, with an average of $1,400, according to HomeAdvisor.com.
The low installation cost will leave you plenty of budget to enhance the skylight upgrade even further with energy efficiency-boosting solar-powered blinds. The skylight and blinds are operated by remote control and the blinds are available in designer colors and patterns to enhance your dcor. The products, as well as installation costs, are eligible for a 30 percent federal tax credit to further reduce the cost of the improvement.
The most popular rooms in the home for fresh air skylights are baths, where they provide privacy in addition to natural light, and kitchens, where they vent cooking odors and humidity naturally while brightening this much-used workspace. Visit http://www.veluxusa.com to learn more.
3. Beautify a master bathroom Bathrooms and kitchens sell homes. Making a few cosmetic upgrades to even a small master bath can help increase a homes appeal and value. For less than $5,000 you can easily repaint, upgrade faucets, replace old cabinet hardware and add decorative touches like designer towels.
If youve already done all that, take a look at the floor or countertops two cost-effective upgrades that can wow buyers. Since counters dont make up that much square footage in most bathrooms, replacing them with granite can cost just a couple thousand dollars. Tile flooring is also a relatively inexpensive way to improve a bathrooms look and usability.
4. Heat things up in the kitchen Kitchen remodels can offer high ROI for sellers, but a full remodel may be outside your budget. If youve already done the obvious like repainting and decluttering its time to look for a few more cost-effective improvements that will appeal to buyers.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 05, 2015
Home & Hearth Outfitters partnered with leading fireplace manufacturer, Enviro, to develop a new fireplace insert specifically sized to fit the small Victorian fireplaces commonly found in Denvers older homes. The Enviro Q1 Gas Fireplace Insert was created due to a high demand and interest from homeowners with inoperative coal fireplaces. Before the Q1 insert, solutions to modernize small coal fireplaces were very limited and usually resulted in entire reconstruction of the chimney or covering the fireplace up completely. The new, innovative inserts have received a great response from local homeowners.
Many homes in Denver built in the late 1800's to the 1920's are still used and are in high demand for their historic appeal, Pete Dines, President of Home & Hearth Outfitters said. As homeowners seek to renovate or remodel these historic homes, the Q1 Insert gives them a way to convert to gas that was not available before. This is the first of its kind to allow homeowners to maintain the original purpose of their fireplaces, by taking an old dilapidated and sometimes dangerous fireplace and updating it to a tested and listed furnace rated heater and fireplaceThis winter was the first season for the Q1 and the demand was phenomenal. We definitely had more interest than anticipated.
Starting in the late 1800's, coal stoves were the primary choice for heating a home. They were usually taller than wide and very shallow, and not designed for ventilation to burn wood. By the 1920s, most cities had access to public utilities, including natural gas and electricity -- which resulted in the decline of coal use in American homes. While homeowners remodeled these historic homes throughout the years, converting a coal fireplace to modern day technology was deemed problematic, since the chimneys were not built to support wood burning and a gas insert solution was not commonly available in these smaller sizes.
The Enviro Q1 insert is the long-awaited solution to historic home renovation. Its beautiful, clean faced gas fireplace brings modern design in an array of different stylistic options from minimal to contemporary. The Q1 uses a high definition log set, tray burner with glass or a coal burner to fit any homeowners stylistic taste.
