TV series Australian Pickers is looking to film in Warrnambool in March, providing they generate enough interest from people with sheds and homes full of unique or bizarre items.

The second season is a spin-off of an American series. Two episodes were filmed in Victoria last year but producers are hoping to film an entire episode in the south-west.

It all depends on the kinds of participants we get, associate producer Eve Neylon said.

Were looking for people with garages full of stuff and boxes they might not have opened for 10 years.

Some people might be professional collectors.

We dont want people with stuff theyd sell at a garage sale.

Pickers starring in the series pay and negotiate for the items they find locally, but the show grabs audiences by promising interesting characters among idyllic country backdrops.
