These 15 sheds built in gardens across Merseyside are all in the running to be crowned Shed of the Year 2014.

The winner will be selected by TV architect George Clarke and a panel of judges for a Channel 4 show next month.

And as it is National Shed Week right now, what better time to take a look as some of the best Scouse sheds in contention?

Uncle Wilco, founder of Shed of the Year, said: I started the competition as Ive always been passionate about sheds.

"Its been fantastic to see just how much its grown over the past eight years now attracting over 2,000 entries.

"The new Channel 4 TV series will be a great way to show off the best of Britains sheds and their wonderful owners, otherwise known as sheddies.
