Street trees require significant attention and upkeep to ensure they maximize their environmental, social, and economic value while minimizing risk to property and life. This map shows current locations of scheduled street tree removal work.

Call or visit DC's311 to request a street tree service. A certified arborist will inspect the tree within 30 days and, if work is required, it will be completed within 9 months to account for citywide workload and different phases.

A permit is required for any non-DDOT representative to conduct work on street trees.

Call or visit DC's311to report a tree emergency or imminent threat that requires immediate attention. If people are injured, call 911.

Please also view interactive maps that are regularly updated based on UFAs Urban Forester data. You can use them to track UFA's progress toward planting every viable street tree box, see where new trees are being planted in parks and at schools and see study results as well as storm impacts.
