This large flat roof, is leaking and I have been asked to carry out a report for the owner of the property, thesis my first view of the roof and its a free estimate or quotation I #39;m giving at the moment, the flat roof is very large and relsiticly I need to spend some time on the roof to identify just where the water has penetrated to do this I will need to return with the thermal imaging camera and cary out a survey of the roof in the early hours of the morning. The flat covering thats on the roof now is aTPO vinyl roof covering with welded joints a good roof covering when laid correctly and theres the problem, the more detail you have on a roof the more, places that are potential leak points. Liquid flat roofing materials are good for doing details and large sheet materials such as EPDM are good for covering large area of roof quickly and cheaply. This roof is requesting a flat roofing material that not only can be dressed around the details but also covers large expanses of the roof cheaply. We could thing about mixing two different systems for this roof Sheet EPDM for the large areas this deals with them quickly efficiently and cheaply then a liquid roofing materials for around the box gutter and all the plant on the roof. Unfortunately this was not the situation when their was designed so now we have the problem that the roof insulation is wet under the roofing menbrain and needs replacing we also need to solve the problems of the leaks.
