SummitSkills is reviewing National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the building services engineering sector, re-examining the standards those in the industry are expected to reach in the workplace, reports HVP on June 13. Their work will influence the skills and knowledge of those who work in the building services engineering sector. The NOS creates the training programmes, job specifications and qualifications among other factors for those in the elecrotechnical, heating and ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing sectors.

The review aims to help these industries develop and understand legislation changes, new and developing technology and working practices.
