Keep your sheds secure - Ryedale police plea after Malton thefts

POLICE are appealing for Ryedale residents to make sure their sheds and outbuildings are secure after a number of thefts in the area.

Thieves targeted sheds at the allotments on Rainbow Lane, Malton, overnight between 6pm on Friday, August 16 and 7am on Saturday, August 17.

They tried to force their way into a number of sheds, causing damage to locks. They got into one of the sheds and stole a black Honda KVA 1.1 generator, worth around 250.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious is urged to contact PC 1634 Emma Collins on 101, quoting reference 12130140993.

Now police are urging people to take precautions their sheds secure. Anyone who wants crime prevention advice can contact their local PCSO by calling 101, and asking for an appointment.
