PASADENA, Calif., Aug. 28 (UPI) -- The U.S. Navy has contracted Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. and its joint venture company Architects Hawaii Ltd. for architecture engineering services.

The services under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity award from the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific includes design, engineering, specification writing, cost estimating, and related services for NAVFAC Pacific projects.

"We are pleased to receive this contract award and are honored to be providing our services in support of the Navy's facilities needs in the Pacific," said Jacobs Group Vice President Tom McDuffie.

The contract has a base period of performance of one year, plus four one-year options. It has a maximum order limit of $10 million.

NAVFAC Pacific provides engineering and acquisition expertise to the U.S. Pacific Fleet by serving as the Navy's facilities, installation, and contingency engineers in the Pacific area of responsibility.

Jacobs Engineering, which announced the recent award, gave no additional details of the contract.
