It promises to be sustainable, durable - and more fire resistant than steel and concrete.

But it remains to be seen whether a pioneering 34-storey sky scraper made entirely of wood will woo over potential residents.

Architects hope to build the towering high-rise in Stockholm, Sweden, and claim that the skyscraper is 'cheaper, easier and more sustainable than typical steel and concrete constructions'.
