Please, Gearbox, FIX E-TECH SNIPERS!!! I was so happy to get this E-Tech Maliwan Sniper from a friend. I am on a TVHM playthrough, and there will be loads of loaders ahead, with a corrosive E-Tech sniper this should be awesome. I went to Opportunity and noticed that i killed enemies with the E-Tech sniper at the same speed as i killed them with my Vladof shock sniper. Shielded Battle architects actually dropped faster (because i dropped their shields faster, of course). So i went to the target dummy in Sanctuary. My E-Tech sniper scored a bit above 100k on a critical hit, fully loaded magazine. My Vladof fire sniper performed even better, due to the weakness of the dummy, 357k and above. However, my Vladof shock sniper easily scored above 200k, too. The E-Tech sniper didn #39;t perform nearly as good as this. It burns through my ammo, since it needs 2 ammo per shot, and the bullet ricochet is pretty useless, since Zeros Bore skill is far superior, and i like to line enemies up to drop many of them quickly. With 20 stacks of critical ascension, i was able to score a 200k hit. THIS IS A JOKE! I am now using a non-E-Tech pistol to drop armored enemies. The sniper is just too weak.
