Henning Larsen Architects will design a new multi-use complex in Denmark encompassing Microsofts Danish headquarters, student residences, and retail space. Located in Kongens Lyngby, just north of Copenhagen, the development aims to position the city as a hub of knowledge and creativity. The project reflects an interesting urban development strategy, mayor Sren P. Rasmussen says. Knowledge-intensive businesses are connected to urban life and the local study community. In addition, the building will provide a welcoming, dynamic urban space where city center and green areas meet.

Microsoft, which will consolidate offices for its 900 employees in the country, seeks to create the workplace of the future supported by a flexible layout and state-of-the-art technologies. The citizens can use our open caf and technology area, students can use our allocated study area, and we will regularly host different events that will connect us even closer to the local area and Denmark, Niels Soelberg, CEO of Microsoft Denmark says.

The 430,000-square-foot building is expected to break ground later this year.
