NISD begins architect search, presents bond facts

Nacogdoches ISD officials are preparing to solicit requests for qualifications from prospective architects after trustees on Thursday called for a $58.8 million bond election.

We will set some criteria for those, and we anticipate quite a few architects will be interested in this project, Superintendent Dr. Fred Hayes said. We will take anywhere from six to 10 architects to a committee made up of board members, community members and school people, and then interview those architects before determining (which) to take to the board for approval.
