Transforming policy into partnerships: Matt Davis at TEDxAdelaide
Matt is a lecturer in Architecture at UniSA, Director of Davis Davis Architects, and was formerly Design Leader of 5000+ an Integrated Design Strategy for inner Adelaide. Matt has designed a few good buildings and whilst still seduced by the charms of traditional architectural practice, is increasingly drawn to the potential found in working across and between practice, academia and urban policy. Matt is a firm believer that difficult contexts are a necessary ingredient for creative practice and that the best ideas are often the ones most easily dismissed. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations) Edit by: http://www.mandurphy.netFrom:TEDxTalksViews:23 0ratingsTime:07:39More inEducation
