SPECIAL TO THE PRESS

PLAINVILLE FrontStreet Facility Solutions has partnered with Make-A-Wish Connecticut to grant local 12-year-old Andrews wish for the bedroom of his dreams on April 29, World Wish Day.

Andrew shared his ideas for a dream bedroom with Make-A-Wish, whose mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

FrontStreet, a maintenance and management company, and the foundation officially kicked off the project on April 21. A celebration will be held on April 29 as Andrews new room is revealed. After learning about Andrews wish and that he loves to eat pasta, the West Hartford Olive Garden joined the effort and will provide complimentary catering for the event.

World Wish Day is the day we celebrate the first wish ever granted, explained Make-A-Wish Connecticut publicist Michael Dominick. Make-A-Wish chapters from all around the world will be granting wishes of all different types on this special day as we remember together our grassroots beginnings from over 30 years ago, and celebrate the over 250,000 children who have been touched by a wish since the first wish in 1980.

FrontStreet joined forces with the foundation to assist with paint and painting services, heating vents, ceiling tile replacement and repainting, lighting and carpet installation for Andrews new nautical-themed bedroom. FrontStreet also worked with its strategic partners to secure in-kind donations of tables, a television and necessary hardware, surround sound, a pool table and a foosball table. This partnership with Make-A-Wish, and specifically Andrews wish, was the ideal opportunity for giving back, Joseph Scaretta, FrontStreet chief development officer, said. The room renovation allowed us to go beyond monetary donation to creating an innovative solution based on FrontStreets expertise and partnerships. We are so honored to be a part of granting such an incredible young mans wish.

When FrontStreet offered to become a part of Andrews wish, we were thrilled, Dominick said. And now, to see the level of commitment they have given to making his wish come true, the attention to detail and the genuine passion they have shown while going above and beyond has been inspiring to us all.
