Historical Society holds fundraiser for museum

SALAMANCA The Salamanca Historical Society is holding a benefit for their museum. The winner will have a choice of a $500 cash prize and the $150 gift card from Raymour and Flanigan or a bedroom makeover, valued at $1,650.

The bedroom makeover includes a 12-foot-by-12 foot carpet, pad and installation from Century Carpet and Bedding; painting provided by Robison Construction and Residential Electric; primer and paint provided by Great Valley Builders. The $150 gift card is from Raymour and Flanigan Furniture.

Sedlak said the winner will be drawn during the Silver Bells Festival, which is held in Salamanca during the month of December. The bedroom makeover will take place during the month of January 2013.

Ticket prices are one ticket for $20, two tickets for $30, four tickets for $50 and 10 tickets for $100.

Tickets are available at local businesses and at the museum website at mysite.verizon.net/ salamancahistoricalmuseum where raffle tickets can be download through a link. Participants may also fill out the ticket(s), enclose a check for the appropriate amount and mail to: Salamanca Historical Society Museum, P.O. Box 23, Salamanca, N.Y. 14779.
