Sloane’s Carpet Secret to Give Away Carpet, Pad, Installation in Denver Facebook Contest

Denver carpet retailer Sloanes Carpet Secret will sponsor a Facebook contest to give away carpet, pad and installation to the best story in the Denver area. A single winner will be selected to receive carpet, pad and installation at no cost.

The September floods got us thinking, said Sloanes Owner and President Scott Alban, about giving back to the community and maybe having some fun with it as well. Alban acknowledged that Sloanes might use the opportunity to publicize the entries it receives, to see if additional help is available beyond what a small Denver carpet store can offer.

Colorado homeowners, charities and nonprofits are invited to visit Sloanes Carpet Secret Facebook Page and submit their story. Each submission will be judged by Sloanes for need, creativity and Sloanes ability to impact the situation. The actual contest period is Monday, January 13, 2014, through Monday, February 10, 2014, but entries are being accepted now.

In order to participate, entrants must like Sloanes Carpet Secret on Facebook, provide basic contact information and submit a story of no more than 500 words. We will read each entry, said Alban, and we might publish some of them on our website, Facebook and Twitter, so we hope people get creative and have fun. Humor is encouraged!

Entries are expected to come from people with funny stories about ugly carpet, growing families, pet-related incidents and who-knows-what, in addition to enduring hardships. Submissions must be received by 5:00 PM MT on Monday, February 10, 2014. The winner will be announced on Valentines Day, Friday, February 14, 2014, on Sloanes Carpet Secret Facebook page. The winner will also be notified by email.
