Cruising down the Amazon cargo style! Yurimaguas to Iquitos, Peru March 24 to 27, 2012 We spent one night in Yurimaguas, thankfully to have a shower after two days on numerous bus rides and because the boat we wanted to take didn #39;t leave until the following day at 4pm. We headed down to the port about 2pm to board our boat, the Gilmer (part of the Eduardo family of boats). It was a blue and white cargo boat with three decks. The first is for all the cargo (mostly plantains, rice, chickens and fruit), the second is where most of the locals slept and the third floor was double the price so that #39;s where the tourists end up. It was well worth the extra money to have a little extra space. It cost $100 soles (about $38US) for two nights, three days and meals. There were only about eight other tourists on board. We tied up our hammocks and locked our bags to a pole; ready to set off into the Amazon! INDIANAPOLIS - Two years after Indiana put more than 100 unsolved murders on playing cards, none of those cases has been solved, but officials say the program is still a success.

Indiana is one of several states to issue decks of cards patterned after the deck the Army used in 2003 in the hunt for officials of Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq.

Indiana published two decks in 2010, covering 97 "cold case" killings and seven missing-persons cases believed to involve foul play, RTV6 newsgathering partner WIBC reported

Indiana Department of Correction spokesman Doug Garrison said the decks haven't produced any arrests, but that they have fulfilled their main purpose by generating thousands of new leads to enable investigators to rekindle dormant investigations.

Garrison said the cards are a way to remind victims' families that authorities haven't forgotten about them.

The cards' circulation is limited to law enforcement and prisons, where they're the only cards available in the commissary.

Garrison said the people most likely to have information about an unsolved crime are people behind bars for something else.

Each card includes a brief summary of the case and a photo of the victim.

More than half the victims in the two decks are from Marion County, including four cards devoted to the notorious Burger Chef slayings of 1978.

Cold case cards bring tips, no arrests

MEET Fletcher, an emerging local DJ with some seriously talented tunes.

Resident DJ at Neverlands bar in Coolangatta, Cory Fletcher has been hitting the decks professionally for three years.

He's rocked shows such as Coachella in the states and has worked with top artists from Regurgitator to hip-hop star 360.

Fletcher said he loved DJ-ing and hoped he could do it forever.

"If I could keep doing this for the majority of my life I'd be a happy man," he said.

He said it all started because musical talent was in the family, and he'd always wanted to get involved.

However as he loved dance music he did it a little differently.

"I really wouldn't be where I am without Neverlands," he said.

Fletcher's next big set will be at Brisbane's Stereosonic festival on December 2.
