FLINT, MI -- Police are searching for the male driver responsible in knocking down two fences outside a West Bristol Road business.

Police were called for a hit and run around 10 a.m. Friday, June 27 in the 2000 block of West Bristol and spoke with security who informed them a hit and run took place three days earlier.

An officer checking surveillance video noticed a dark-colored pickup truck westbound on Bristol Road. The vehicle can be seen entering the property and striking a fence on the west side of the property.

The vehicle continued traveling across the property, according to a Flint police report, struck an east side fence and pushed it into a parked vehicle.

The driver is seen getting out of his vehicle and checking it for damage before driving off.

A rear driver side tail light was damaged on the parked vehicle, along with damage to the fence areas. No further suspect information was available at this time from police.

Fences, parked vehicle damaged following hit and run at Flint business

Cars, signs, fences and buildings were among property vandalized with white spray paint in Sterling, Illinois.

Overnight from Thursday, June 26 Friday, June 27, 2014 the Sterling Police say vandals used white spray paint to damage property between 4th Avenue East to 6th Avenue East and property on 4th Street North to East 7th Street.

Debbie Mills said she woke up to find her sons car had been vandalized with the white spray paint overnight.

You feel very invaded upon when youre property, which youre working hard to pay for, and someone just comes along and spray paints it, Mills said. Doesnt make you feel very good.

Police said cars, stop signs, fences, property belonging to Sauk Valley News, and the Maple Pancake House were vandalized.

KUCHING: Kuching City North Commission (DBKU) has spent more than RM200,000 to replace stolen drain covers, fences and other vandalised public properties.

Kuching City North mayor Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai said the drain covers and fences made of metals were stolen as they were of high value.

Vandalism and thefts of public properties have been a disturbing problem and we spent over RM200,000 last year to undo the damage.

However, we have seen a downward trend and hope for zero vandalism through our community engagement programme and through educating people to respect public property, he told The Borneo Post recently.

He said they had replaced lamp posts at Reservoir Park and Museum Garden, signage as well as railings in areas under DBKUs jurisdiction.

He said the commission had resorted to replacing metal drain covers and steel fences with composite materials.

We replaced drain covers, signage and railings with composite materials which have no value so people are not interested to steal them, he explained.

They identified a few areas such as Semariang and Kampung Gita where vandalism was rampant. However, through engagement with the community and use of composite materials, there had generally been a downward trend in vandalism activities.

He also called on the public to work with the commission to look after and respect public properties to achieve its zero vandalism target.

LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas -- A Tornado Warning was issued for parts of Liberty County after a storm spotter reported seeing a funnel cloud, emergency officials said.

Some residents reported that their fences were knocked down along with some trees. KHOU11 viewer Brandi Wagner said her pickup was damaged when a large part of a tree fell outside her home.

There were no reports of major damage, however, and the Tornado Warning was allowed to expire about an hour later.

It all started around 11:30 a.m. Friday. The Liberty County Office of Emergency Management said troopers spotted a possible tornado near FM 1008. It was seen moving along 321 near FM 1008 not far from Dayton.

The tornado was over a wooded area.

"There were no reports of damage from the tornado that touched down earlier. We're basically asking folks to monitor the media, and if people can, they need to seek out strong shelter," said Tom Branch with Liberty County OEM.
