Santos is a 13.3hh, chestnut with lots of chrome, dressage pony. Schoolmaster in second level, and solid third level. Needs tuning up on flying lead changes to be competitive third level. He has won numerous championships in dressage, and was recently started over fences. Since last year he has won champion or reserve in cross rails and walk/trot hunter every time he has been shown. Love my little man so much, this video genuinely makes me so emotional : #39;) As most of you know, I have been riding him since 2006, loaning him since 2009, and I bought him a couple of months ago. I didn #39;t really have the time/ money but when we found out his owner was selling him it was all we could do. I #39;m not going to lie, we both started out as complete beginners haha. I couldn #39;t ride to save my life (evidence in the video!!) and he had the most awkward jump- he would physically climb over fences! xD He had never been ridden properly on the bit before and had spent his whole life (after being caught and sold on from the wild New Forest) in the riding school. And look at where we are now. We #39;ve both been through so much. And I love him, from the bottom of my heart. I can #39;t get over how much he has come on, and how he has brought me on as a person. My life has changed a LOT in the past 6 years, in fact in the last 6 months aha (new school, new friends, new oppurtunities etc.) and thomas has really been my rock. 🙂 This video #39;s for all of you people who ever doubted us, bitched about us, told me he wasn #39;t worth it. Because I think you #39;ll find, this video kind of proves every single one of you WRONG. Landscaping used as fencing for homes elicited a long debate by Dublin City Council members last week.

The first reading of modifications to the fence code that would remove all references to hedges as fences produced varying opinions during an Oct. 22 meeting.

The changes were prompted by council members who asked the city staff to look into the matter after dealing with a complaint from a resident.

The "least disruptive approach" would be to remove references to hedges from fence code, a staff report to council stated. The use of hedges would still be included in landscaping code.

"The proposed amendment addresses comments from city council and its community development committee, noting that hedges are used in many parts of the city as fences as well as screening and that it should be an acceptable feature of the community," the report said.

Planning and zoning commission members sent the changes to council and recommend disapproval because the current code has "been effective in preserving the original intent of keeping open views along shared property lines," the report said.

Both Cathy Boring and Richard Gerber were worried the changes didn't address the entire problem, but John Reiner said residents have a right to privacy in their backyards.

"I think everyone has the right to screen their own yard from their neighbors," Vice Mayor Amy Salay said, noting that screening can add value to a home. "This is happening in our community despite the fence code."
