Multi-state U.S. home builder Taylor Morrison is girding to provide additional excitement to the Southwest Florida real estate market with its planned golf course and a new lifestyle community called Esplanade by Siesta Key; both projects are slated to begin this 2013. The golf links, the first private golf course to be built in the region since 2008, is set to be constructed at the firms leisure community, Esplanade at Lakewood Ranch.

The newest among Lakewood Ranch communities, Esplanades is a 207-acre gated neighborhood just off State Road 70 close to the Manatee Countys southern boundary with Sarasota. With initial development of the community set this year, model homes are expected to be on display in early 2013. The architecture of the homes will be California Tuscan in style with ornamental detailing and barrel-tile roofs. The estimated build-out of this community is five years. Its site is located well off the road and on an area dense with trees, which will be developed with crisscrossing walk trails.

Esplanade by Siesta Key will also feature a clubhouse with a social room, catering kitchen, fitness center, and library. Its compound will also house sport courts; a heated, lagoon-style swimming pool and a spa, a fenced bark park; and a barbecue area and fire pit. A lifestyle director will likewise be hired to organize activities and events. A shuttle will also be available to ferry residents to Siesta Key Beach, only about two miles from this Esplanade community.

The SM group will revitalize the popular Tagaytay experience with a new leisure development project.

After the conglomerate secured Taal Vista Hotel a few years ago under its SM Hotels and Conventions arm, SM Development Corporation has also recently bared its vision for residential leisure living with Wind Residences. The SM group is also helping shape the future development of the landmark Tagaytay Highlands through Highlands Prime, Inc.

SM Land now enters mixed-use commercial development in the area with Sky Ranch, a unique project dubbed as a leisure park that will give another Tagaytay experience to its many visitors.
