Responsehomesecurity.com Commented on Successful Fundraising of Home Security Starup - March 28, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

A home security startup just raised $180,000 with an independent funding platform of its own. Professionals from Response Home Security commented on the successful fundraising.

    (PRWEB) March 28, 2013

I think its time for the home security industry to have some changes, to become up to date, and Im glad that someone steps up to give it a try, even though I feel pity that its not us that step up. said one professional from responsehomesecurity.com, Nowadays you can enumerate lots of alarm companies very easily, but its hard to name ones that you are really happy with. The dissatisfaction is partly due to technology and partly due to service. I am eager to see what Scout is going to do to bring the industry to the next level be it a supreme service experience for customers or an innovative technology for alarm systems.

The team at Scout initially noted that home security is necessary to almost all families. However, most of the 17% of the families that have security are not getting satisfying services from their home security service providers. The Scout team interpreted the dissatisfaction as an enormous space for improvement, thats their initial idea for Scout to take home security to an up-to-date level. When it comes to realization of the idea, they need to do fundraising. Scout set up their own independent fundraising platform because the biggest startup fundraising platform Kickstarter rolled out some new rules this year that disqualified lots of companies, including Scout. The disqualification forces Scout to create innovative ways to raise fund to implement their ideas.

When I first visited their website, I thought it was a technology company, but they are not. The website style and design, in some ways, also convey their core value in business simple and creative. Their fundraising is creative, and I hope that their home security services are as creative as their fundraising. Even though they still have some ways to go to compete with established large home security companies, they already exhibit some eye-attracting features. This is a motivation for us to be more innovative as well, not just with the home security systems that we sell and install, but also with how we present ourselves, online and offline, said one professional from Response Home Security.

Best Practices For Buying a Home Security System Revealed By TopConsumerReviews.com - March 17, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

TopConsumerReviews.com Reveals Best Practices for Buying a Home Security System.

Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) March 16, 2013

Security experts point a finger at the current economy and unemployment rate as leading causes of residential crime increases across the U.S. Over two million burglaries occur each year - leaving many residents and their families feeling unsafe and unsure at home. Experts agree that in order to reduce the chances of residential crime, property owners should cut back their landscaping, install deadbolts, turn on outdoor lighting, and get a family dog. They also generally agree that a home security system offers the highest level of protection available.

With their annual reviews, TopConsumerReviews.com helps consumers select the best home security system to meet their needs. After a recent study, TopConsumerReviews.com determined that homeowners should identify the following best practices when considering a home security system:

    Equipment

Not all home security equipment is created equally. Who manufactures the product? Is it a quality company? Does the home security company offer wireless technology to prevent a cut landline and potential loss in service? What equipment does the security system package include? Will it work well for the property owners home?

    Cost

Homeowners should investigate all of the costs of the home security system before signing a contract. That includes equipment costs, installation, monitoring, and extra sensors.

    Monitoring

Does the home security company offer a 24 hour monitoring service? Live monitoring is recommended for the quickest access to authorities if someone attempts to break in or if a medical emergency arises.

Home security installer accused of stealing from customers - March 15, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

Photo: Marion County Sheriff's Office (March 14, 2013)

    7:51 a.m. EDT, March 14, 2013

If you can't trust the folks who install your home security system, just who can you trust?

Shawn Michael Garza, 38, is facing Grand Theft and 13 other charges after allegedly swiping more than $100,000 worth of jewelry and other items, according to a news release from the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Garza was charged on Tuesday after detectives discovered he had stolen jewelry and other items from an Ocala home. Garza 'fessed up to the crime and told detectives that "two weeks prior to the burglary he stole the jewelry while doing some work for the homeowners," the release stated.

The 'some work' he had referred to was installing a security system with video cameras in their Ocala home.

Garza then reportedly pawned the jewelry.

The homeowners had alerted detectives to Garza as a possible suspect, deputies said.

Garza also reportedly stole the recording system for the cameras during the burglary.

Home Security Technology Trends Revealed By TopConsumerReviews.com - March 15, 2013 by Mr HomeBuilder

TopConsumerReviews.com Reveals the Latest Trends in Home Security Technology.

Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) March 15, 2013

A home burglary occurs approximately every 13 seconds in the nation each year. Burglaries can result in not only the loss of belongs, broken windows, and a damaged door but the possibility of bodily harm to its occupants. Once a robbery occurs the sense of safety can also be critically compromised. Many people are taking proactive measures to better protect their homes and families.

TopConsumerReviews.com has discovered that home security systems have evolved dramatically in the last 10 years as a result of advances in home security technology. Some of these home security advances include:

    Wireless Home Security

The move toward wireless home security systems is one that many companies have converted to or are quickly moving towards. Wireless technology means faster, cheaper and less invasive installation. Homeowners no longer have to maintain a landline or lose services should an outside wire be tampered with.

    Video Technology

Camera and video technology have become a much desired trend in home security systems. Technology improvements have created affordably priced cameras that make it feasible to place video technology around the house. With the use of a computer or smart phone, homeowners can quickly look at the interior or exterior of their home to identify potential intruders, check on the arrival of children, and see if a package has arrived and more.

    Self-Monitoring

Improvements in mobile technology have contributed to a trend in self-monitoring. In a nut shell, the home security system electronically notifies the homeowner if the alarm has been triggered. This gives the homeowner the chance to check out the situation and call authorities without the cost of a monthly monitoring service.
