Always on time and sometimes early but they always call first. No problem with bugs since they have come. We have them out quarterly. We have also had lawn treatment which works well, and they have worked at our church in Oak Forest too. I found BUGCO on the yelp app. Based on the reviews I decided to give them a try. After Hurricane Harvey we were having fire ants issues around the house. I received a phone call back the same day that I left a message. The representative was friendly and very thorough in explaining the services offered. Within the next couple days Justin came to our home. He was friendly and prompt. He inspected our home and yard and recommended a yard treatment based his findings. The extermination did not take long at all. He moved through the home quickly and did the outside area in no time. I highly recommend their services.

The technician, Daniel, took the time to look at the "sample" of bugs I had been seeing, showed me how they were just the same bug but at different stages on their life cycle, AND walked me through my house to show me exactly where they could be entering. Very thorough and professional, he went through every room and every corner with the spray, into cabinets and places where he suspected entry of insects and also into the attic, garage and outside perimeter of my home. He was knowledgeable and gave advice to seal up areas where insects may be able to enter. He explained the 3 layer system which helps prevent insects for 90 days and the guarantee for 90 days, he also offered his card if there were any questions or if for any reason I forgot to mention any areas that needed treatment. So far there have been minimal incidents of bugs and happy to say that the pesticide and 3 layer system is far more effective than the 2 prior companies I used! We cannot say enough good things about this company. Our initial research showed that Bugco has an outstanding online reputation so we contacted them for an initial consultation on general pest control and an existing misting system. The people in the office were friendly and answered all of our questions. The good experience continued when Germaine (our service technician) appeared. Very cordial and respectful of our home (he wore shoe covers which I loved). The most important thing is that the bugs are under control and our misting system is up and running. I had an original contract with John Moore for pest control and I never met the guy who came to spray our house. I considered their service horiffic at best. I paid off my final payment with them this morning and was looking forward to getting my first visit from a different pest control company. I have a few pests that have infested in the home I recently bought. It is an older house (1938) with hollow walls, hollow ceiling cavity between 1st and second level, open ceiling in basement and hollow block walls for the walk out basement walls.Infestations of centipeedes, ants, brown recluse spiders (have killed 75 with sticky traps) and Ive found termites in basement wood. When I ground out the cracks in my basement I had termite tunnels coming out of the cracks after 1 night.The house sat empty during the previous owners remodel for about 3 yrs. This gave a great head start on the insect's occupancy.Wanting the best stuff on the market with longest residual to apply in uncommon locations as well as surface treatments.I'm going to drill holes in the concrete block and saturate the ground and block inside the wall, drilling holes in the wood siding to saturate inside the walls.

Sticky traps are the best way to control them. However, insecticides like the ones mentioned above, may slow them down or effect them and work over a long period of time.Termite control really depends on the specific species of termites. If you have a subterranean termite problem, outdoor ground treatment is necessary as well as treatment to the isolated area of infestation. Premise Foam is good for indoor treatment to isolated areas of infestation and Termidor is a great product for outdoor trenching/ground treatment.

The word rodent means to "to gnaw". We will mostly be discussing the type of rodents called "commensal rodents". The word commensal means"sharing one's table". The three types of commensal rodents are: the House Mouse, the Norway Rat and the Roof Rat.

The three types of commensal rodents are: the House Mouse, the Norway Rat and the Roof Rat. Occasionally, the white-footed mouse, deer mouse, harvest mouse, pocket mouse, or pack rats may enter buildings, particularly if they are near wooded areas or fields.

Commensal Rodent Identification

Rodents can be found not only in our homes, but supermarkets, restaurants, warehouses, food processing facilities, livestock facilities, and farm fields.They also cause damage to our buildings by their burrowing and gnawing activity. Rodents will gnaw through many types of materials in order to reach a location including lead sheathing, cinder block, aluminum siding and some concrete.

Through the ages, rodents have been the cause of some tremendous plagues and diseases. In years past, rodents were responsible for the spread of many diseases. Today, due to increased sanitation and effective rodent and insect control programs, the threat of most diseases from rodents is not as critical. The common House mouse is the most common health pest, due to allergins that it spreads causing asthma and allergic rhinitis. The mouse carries a protein it its blood that can trigger these reactions in suspectible people.

In the southwestern part of the United States, the hanta viruses have been active. Most of these cases have been attributed to the cotton rat and white-foot mice, although the Norway rat has been associated with various hanta virus strains.

The house mouse is about 1/2 -1 oz in size and is slender. The roof rat is 5-9 oz and is sleek and the norway rats is larger and more robust and is between 7-18 oz in weight. Roof rats are often mistaken for house mice. Young roof rats have larger heads and feet in comparison to their bodies. A house mouse's head and feet are proportionally smaller than their bodies.

Mice and Rats reproduce rapidly with major activity at night. Under stable conditions rodent movement for both rats and mice is limited.

A Norway or Roof rat will move within a diameter of 98 to 164 ft. and a house mouse,10 to 33 ft. If conditions are unstable or there are changes such as new building, they may expand the diameter. They may also expand their range in protected areas such as in sewers, in passages between buildings, and under groundcovers.
