Jurin Roofing Services, Inc. announced the promotion of Bob Rowand to Roof Asset Manager earlier this week. Bob has been a roof service technician for Jurin Roofing Services since 2009. Bobs roofing experience began back in 1987 when started his own roofing company, Summit Roofing. During his 20 year tenure as a roofing company owner he worked with several property management companies as well as residential clients in a service and repair capacity. From 2008 to 2009 he worked for two other roofing companies but didnt feel at home until he decided to accept a position as Lead Roof Service Technician with Jurin Roofing Services.

I have always lived by one rule: Do unto others as you would have done to you. This theme has played an important role not only in my personal life but also in business so it was important for me to join a company with the same values. The management and team members at Jurin Roofing Services share that vision and I can take great pride knowing Im part of such a great company. Bob Rowand responded when asked what his passion was in life. My success is based on my clients satisfaction. If they arent happy, than neither am I. In his new role, Bob will be responsible for hard to solve and complex leak issues that require an experienced and intuitive approach. He will also be completing annual roof inspections and assisting our clients in the management of their roof assets by providing comprehensive reports including REUL (remaining estimated use life), repair recommendations and replacement budgets, and trending information on the roofs performance.

Bob has a strong passion for leak investigation and quality service. He will not give up until he finds a solution to our clients roofing problems. His intuitiveness allows him to grasp whether or not he has solved the problem and he is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure hes giving our clients the best service possible. Nickey Evans, 39, of Hendersonville, was sentenced Monday in Madison County Circuit Court, Division II. Judge Don Allen ordered Evans to serve a total of 10 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections for one count of theft over $10,000 and four counts of theft over $1,000.

After his 10 year prison sentence, Evans must serve 11 months and 29 days in the Madison County Jail for operating a business without a license.

An investigation by Jackson police showed that Evans was the owner of a business called Inspector Roofing. Evans operated this business in rented office space on Carriage House Drive.

Between June and September 2012, three Jackson and two Madison County homeowners entered into separate contracts with Inspector Roofing to repair damaged roofs. Evans was paid amounts between $3,300 and $10,682 by the homeowners.

After repeated attempts over several months, none of the homeowners were successful in getting the work completed or getting a refund. The loss by all five homeowners totaled $27,000.

The investigation also showed that Evans operated Inspector Roofing without a license. Investigators feel there could be other victims.
