Commercial Roofing in Jacksonville, FL Company Offers Online Quotes for Businesses - October 7, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

Commercial roofing in Jacksonville, FL company now offers online quotes for businesses. The Roofing Emporium company is now providing online quotes for companies that require commercial roof repair or replacement services in the North Florida area.

Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) October 07, 2012

The average commercial building uses materials that are not used in residential roofing. The building code requirements are often stricter due to companies offering services to the public. The fire safety codes often regulate the type of building materials used. The installation of a flat roof system is typically required. Due to the variety of flat roofing systems available, locating contractors that can perform more than one type of roof repair or replacement can be problematic at peak times of the year.

States like Florida that has a planned hurricane season can have a shortage of contractors both during and after the hurricane season ends. The Roofing Emporium group of contractors represent state licensed commercial contractors.

Companies that search for commercial contractors often take many things into consideration. The right license represents just one of the factors that are used when evaluating contractors to perform commercial work. Disruptions to company operations are one of the downsides to repairing or replacing a commercial roof. The severity of damage or the size of the restoration can affect the amount of time required for completion.

The Roofing Emporium company can now dispatch contractors seven days a week to help companies to plan construction schedules to help minimize or eliminate downtime during construction.

It is common for companies to contact insurance companies after severe weather damage, fire or other natural disaster inflicts damage to a roof. Most insurance companies hire third party claims adjusters that arrive to assess the amount of damage that is present to help minimize the claim payouts for insurers. One of the services providing by Roofing Emporium contractors is in person meetings with insurance adjusters to help locate all signs of damage to expedite claim processing.

The Roofing Emporium website quote system is now operational and can easily generate a commercial roofing repair or replacement quote for any size company entirely online.

    About Roofing Emporium

Roofing company reports thefts - October 6, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

A Portland roofing company reported that an estimated $90,000 in building materials, including roofing supplies, insulation and nails, was taken last year during the construction of Walmarts Albany store on Goldfish Farm Road.

Arrow Roofing and Sheet Metal called the Albany Police Department to report the thefts at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday.

Thefts from construction sites are common, but not to this magnitude, said Sgt. Steve Dorn.

Culprits targeting work sites will take anything from backhoes and bulldozers to small items like tools and even nails, he added.

Dorn said the case could prove difficult to investigate because the crimes occurred between April and July 2011.

Arrow Roofing and Sheet Metal apparently realized something was amiss in October 2011, Dorn said.

The company isnt sure exactly what was taken.

Were not going to do anything further until they can verify that the product that was missing was actually on site, Dorn said.

Arrow Roofing and Sheet Metal and Walmarts corporate media relations office didnt return phone calls from Thursday morning.

Contractor fined $15K in seniors' facility roof collapse - October 5, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

A Calgary contractor has been fined $15,000 in connection to roof collapse at a seniors facility in April 2011.

Canterbury Roofing was convicted Thursday of a provincial safety code offence for creating an unsafe condition after a pallet of building materials placed on the roof at Clifton Manor crashed through the roof and into the dining room where lunch was being served.

Kitchen staff and about 15 elderly residents were in the room just moments before, but were rushed out when they heard cracking noises.

    No one was injured.

This is a very serious case, and we are very fortunate that the kitchen staff acted quickly for the safety of residents, says Kevin Griffiths, manager of building regulations and chief building official at the City of Calgary.

We will continue to prosecute such cases to send a clear message that construction site safety in Calgary must be taken seriously.

Judge Paul Mason of the Provincial Court of Alberta imposed the maximum penalty fine of $15,000 for a first offence allowed under the Safety Codes Act.

The court found Canterbury failed to take the necessary steps to ensure that the roof of Clifton Manor could sustain the weight of the roofing materials.

The pallet that went through the roof weighed roughly 1225 kilograms.

Canterbury Roofing declined to comment Thursday.

Commercial Roofing Contractors in Jacksonville, FL Now Available at Roof Link - October 5, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

Commercial roofing contractors in Jacksonville, FL are now available at Roof Link Inc. This expert roofing repair and installation company is referring its commercial roofing contractors to companies in and around the North Florida area to help with new construction projects and weather damage repairs.

Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) October 05, 2012

Commercial buildings typically have different building codes compared to a residential structure. Both state and local ordnances can require certain types of materials to be installed on a roof to meet safety guidelines. A commercial roofing company must seek a specific type of license in order to perform work for commercial entities.

The state of Florida currently has higher ratios of residential roofing companies compared with commercial ones according to state data. Both in severe weather times and during the hurricane season can make it difficult to find commercial roofers. The Roof Link Inc. company has designed its commercial services for rapid response in Duval County and surrounding communities in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Roofing material manufacturing companies often perform safety testing before new products are available for use on the market. While a typical home can rely on asphalt shingles, many businesses in the state of Florida use flat roof systems. This is a design effort and safety code regulation to help improve efficiency as well as occupant safety in buildings.

The various types of roofing materials made are graded numerically depending on if installation will be in a hurricane zone. Roof Link Inc. contractors often meet with building owners and managers to determine the best type of flat roof material to use that provides safety and additional cost saving benefits.

One of the disadvantages to roof repair or new installation scheduling is the downtime that a company can experience. For small business owners, ceasing operations for extended periods of time to allow sufficient time for roofing work can be costly. An accurate roofing assessment of the work that needs to be completed is one of the best ways that a small business can use to help estimate the length of downtime.

Roof Link Inc. contractors now offer fast estimates from the quote form located on the Roof Link website.

CONCORD A Derry man is accused of bilking 15 people out of more than $70,000 in a roofing and home repair scam in which police say he took customers deposits and never completed or did the repairs.

Timothy J. Currier, 30, of 125 Windham Road, was indicted by a Merrimack County grand jury on a felony charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Currier operated a roofing company, Green Home Energy Systems, LLC, in Bow, which also did other home repairs, such as installing replacement windows and doors.

According to the indictment, Stephen Benoit gave Currier $10,000 as a down payment on a new roof, but Currier never did the work and never returned the money. Connie Belliveau paid $1,572 to have the fascia soffit on her roof repaired, but the work was never done and Currier allegedly kept the money.

Others bilked out of their deposits in the scam, according to the indictment, included Richard and Erica Buteau, $9,000 for new windows and a door; Gary Durand, $8,425 for a new roof; Bruce Ingalls, $8,200, new roof; William Ingalls, $5,500, new roof; Glen and Lorri Kimball, $6,000, new roof; Barbara Levasseur, $300 , new roof; Karen McCarthy, $1,190, new roof; Thomas Michaud and Virginia Eastman, $5,000, new roof; Michele Moreau, $3,000, new roof; Ruth Roche, $12,000, roof and replacement of fascia boards.

Roofing Contractor in Jacksonville, FL Services Now Available from Roofing Emporium - October 2, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

Roofing contractor in Jacksonville, FL services are now available from Roofing Emporium. Both residential and commercial contracting services are now offered by Roofing Emporium in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) October 02, 2012

The installation of asphalt shingles is widely performed across the U.S. This roofing type started mass production after WWII and many of the homes constructed between 1950 and 1980 used this popular format. The materials that bond the asphalt to shingles have been improved through the years although some homeowners have not yet upgraded their roof. New roof materials have been added for installation in states like Florida that has higher damage estimates during and after the hurricane season. The Roofing Emporium website provides access to contractors in North Florida that use the latest advancements in roofing technology as an alternative safety measure to protect homes from wind, hail and solar damage.

Insurance regulators in high hurricane states help produce annual estimates that insurance companies use to determine rates of premiums for home and business owners. Since the weather patterns are hard to predict, most insurance policies include basic coverage for severe weather that is the most common in certain hurricane zones. A recent survey of homeowners in the U.S. by a leading market research company revealed that less than 20 percent of homeowners know and understand their current insurance policy.

The contractors that are available for hire through the Roofing Emporium website meet frequently with insurance adjusters when damage is reported to ensure that all signs of damage are properly reported and assessed.

A typical roofing contractor can make an assessment and make recommendations based on experience and weather patterns. Homeowners that require roof repair or replacement often must make a sole decision on the type of roof covering that is best for their home. Some roofing companies deal exclusively in asphalt shingle coverings and others are now repairing and installing alternative roof styles. Part of the contracting services now offering from Roofing Emporium include flat roof, metal roof, rubber roof and turf roof repair and replacement.

Homeowners or business owners in the North Florida area can now receive an online estimate for any roof related work entirely online at the Roofing Emporium website.

    About Roofing Emporium

As state licensed roofing contractors, the Roofing Emporium company has assembled a huge team of contractors that work in and around the North Florida area. This team of experts is among the first group of contractors that respond to the majority of roof repair or roof replacement requests in the Jacksonville, FL neighborhoods. By offering affordable prices and meeting with insurance adjusters, the Roofing Emporium contractors have been able to build a reputation in the local community for prompt service and quality of work performed. Roofing Contracting Company Launches New Website - October 1, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

Roofing contracting company launches new website online at RoofingEmporium.com. The Roofing Emporium company connects homeowners and contractors together to help homeowners get roof repairs and replacements completed faster in Florida.

Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) October 01, 2012

According to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, there are hundreds of licensed contractors performing repair and replacement work for homeowners. One drawback for homeowners that live in hurricane prone states like Florida is the shortage of qualified companies that are available. There are 67 counties in Florida with many of the available roofing companies residing in the larger cities.

Not all companies are willing to dispatch contractors to travel to multiple counties to respond when homeowners make requests for roof repair estimates. The Roofing Emporium website is designed to link homeowners with qualified contractors that can respond fast when damage is reported.

The hurricane season in Florida is one of the busiest times for roofing companies. The start of August until the end of October can be a difficult time for homeowners to get needed repair or replacement work finished. The hundreds of insurance companies that underwrite homeowner policies often select roofing companies for more than one insurance job. This can create scheduling conflicts with homeowners that require less important roof work like estimates and interior assessments of potential water damage.

The Roofing Emporium website was designed to eliminate the delays that can happen during the hurricane season and beyond for Florida homeowners.

Both homeowners and construction companies can have problems finding qualified workers for roofing jobs. The legislation in Florida is routinely monitored and changed as new laws are passed. One reason for the shortage in available roofers is the roof replacement legislation that is tied to insurance companies. If 25 percent of a roof has been damaged after assessment, it is standard for a roof to need replaced in Florida.

It is not uncommon in the hurricane zones in Florida for multiple homeowners to be affected before, during and after hurricane season has ended.

The new Roofing Emporium website is designed to help expedite the quotes that are generated for roof repair and replacement services. An easy to use quote form has been installed on the Roof Emporium website to make communication easier for Florida homeowners searching for a qualified roofing company.
