Single wire interface, designed for minimal visibility, connects unit to DM switcher or transmitter or to HDBaseT source for transporting video, audio, control, networking, and power signals. HDMI output, RS-232, and IR control ports are standard. Crestron Electronics, Inc. 101 Broadway Cresskill, NJ, 07626 USA Press release date: June 18, 2014

Provides a discreet, low-cost in-wall interface solution for a single 4K display device as part of a complete DM system; enables control through IR, RS-232 control ports or CEC

Las Vegas, NV Crestron is making it simple to conveniently connect 4K display devices in any room with its new in-wall single-gang box DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G DigitalMedia (DM) Receiver and Room Controller. Crestron is demonstrating the industry-first device at InfoComm14 in Las Vegas, June 18 20.

Customers have been asking us for a low-cost 4K receiver solution that fits discreetly in a one-gang electrical box, said Justin Kennington, DigitalMedia Technology Manager. The DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G fits the bill. It provides a virtually invisible one-wire interface, which is especially desirable in more sophisticated spaces to complement sleek, super-thin latest generation 4K displays.

4K and more in a one-gang box Fully HDBaseT compliant, the DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G provides a simple signal interface and control solution for a single HD or 4K display device as part of a complete DM system. A single cable connects the DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G to a DM switcher or transmitter, or to an HDBaseT source, transporting video, audio, control, networking, and power signals all through one category cable. A single HDMI output port supports video at resolutions up to 4K (4096x2160). The DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G can be gang-mounted beside an Ethernet jack or an electrical outlet equipped with proper dividers.

Ideal for conference spaces The DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G is highly adaptive to applications such as banquet halls, hotels, and convention centers with room divider systems. These spaces dont typically have displays and TVs permanently mounted. Multiple receivers can be mounted in the wall all around the room and in 4-deep floor boxes. Then you can just wheel in your 4K display and plug it in wherever and whenever its needed.

Embedded Device Control Every Crestron system is designed to deliver precision control and a seamless user experience. The DM-RMC-4K-100-C-1G includes built-in RS-232 and IR control ports to allow programmable control of the connected display device. It also provides an alternative to conventional control methods by harnessing the CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) signal embedded in HDMI. Through its connection to the control system, it also provides a gateway for controlling the display device right through the HDMI connection, potentially eliminating the need for any dedicated control wires or IR emitters.

East Morgan County Hospital addition progressing - July 3, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Patients at East Morgan County Hospital and their families will have much more space in their rooms after an addition is completed.

The new wing will add almost 50 percent to the size of EMCH with an extra 32,000 square feet and much of that space will go into patient rooms, said CEO Linda Thorpe during a tour of the most recent stage of the work.

"It's an exciting time for us," Thorpe said.

It has gotten to the "dry wall walk through" stage, when walls are up and people can get a sense of the layout of rooms, nursing stations and other aspects of the new facilities, she said. The public was invited to see the progress on the $20 million addition.

Banner Health chipped in $9.5 million for the project, and The EMCH District paid the rest. This project has been in planning for the past three to five years, Thorpe said.

The project adds 19 single-patient rooms, a brand-new kitchen and dining facility, and a new lobby and waiting area. Also, the hospital will gain more than 100 parking spaces, she said.

Patient rooms will have all the state-of-the-art technology for care, plus spacious bathrooms and closets to keep possessions. Each patient room will have an added 80 square feet of room, which offers more place for family and friends to visit. They will include couches for visitors to use.

Rooms will also have large windows to let the sunlight in.

The current facility has patient rooms built in 1967, and are much smaller, but as health care changes and adopts more technology, rooms need to be different today.

Edward addition to ease Naperville hospital's 'chronic overflow' - July 1, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

    Article updated: 7/1/2014 4:58 AM

The medical and surgical intensive care unit at Edward Hospital in Naperville has been in a "chronic overflow state" for the past few years, but officials say that soon will ease with the opening of a $63.7 million addition.

The two-story addition atop the hospital's west building gives doctors and nurses space to treat nine more adult intensive care patients at a time in larger rooms with updated technology.

"We are moving from a 13-bed unit to a 24-bed unit," Jean Rader, director of inpatient and orthopedic/spine services, said about the new area on the fourth floor. "It's giving the nurses a lot bigger spaces to be able to work on their patients."

The 86,500-square-foot addition also creates a new 36-bed Orthopedic and Spine Center for those recovering from surgeries on joints including hips, knees and shoulders.

Each room has built-in lift equipment to help nurses move patients whose mobility is limited and a specially designed chair for patients to strengthen surgically replaced joints, said Lynn Cochran, associate vice president for operations.

"We're really excited about the new technology in our new rooms," Cochran said.

The hospital will move patients into the new Orthopedic and Spine Center on July 8 and transfer patients into the new intensive care unit July 9, she said.

Maple Ridge Leisure Centre reopens after evacuation - June 30, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

News posted Oct 22, 2011 at 8:00 PM

UPDATE Just after 1:00 pm an alarm in the Chlorine Room of the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre sounded alerting the pool staff that chlorine gas levels were above normal levels. The Chlorine Room is located on the outside of the building and isolated from the public areas of the Leisure Centre facility. Leisure Centre Staff immediately contacted the Maple Ridge Fire Department. As a precaution, staff conducted an orderly evacuation of the building allowing patrons to obtain personal belongings. The entire facility, including the pool, fitness centre and youth centre was completely cleared within 10 minutes. The Maple Ridge Fire Department arrived within a few minutes and followed Hazardous material (Hazmat) protocols around the Chlorine Room. In addition, Firefighters assisted staff in doing a final sweep of the entire facility to ensure that no one remained in the building. The preliminary assessment was that there was a minor leak in the Chlorine service conduit, and the Fire department, working with Leisure Centre staff, isolated the Chlorine system, purged the conduit and stayed on site until the gas levels Chlorine Room were zero. The automatic Chlorination system has been shut down and manual water testing and chlorination will be used until the main system has been examined by a technician early next week. At no time did the gas get into any public areas. At no time was there any health risk to patrons, first responders or District staff due to the fast implementation of all safety procedures and protocols. The Fire Department and District staff would like to thank all of the people that were in the facility at the time of the incident for their cooperation and understanding during the orderly evacuation. Patrons affected by the evacuation were given a complimentary pass for the facility. The facility has now reopened to the public.

The Green Room: Snakes And Ladders- A Look At The Championship Ladder Match - June 29, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the debut edition of The Green Room on Lordsofpain.net. My name is Leaf and I am the winner of the Voice competition that was contested in the Columns Forum earlier this year.

On that note, I strongly urge you to consider entering the latest competition: The LOP Grand Prix. This contest is purely for fun so if you wish to give column-writing a try, this is the perfect platform to do so. The rules for the contest can be found HERE. I will be one of five judges for the event so I will personally look forward to any new entrants wishing to take part.

Plugs aside, I think we are all set to enter The Green Room, a magical place in which we pull up a chair and thoroughly analyse a given topic. With a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion set to be crowned at WWE Money In The Bank this Sunday, I figured we would sit down with our eight championship contenders and play a very special game of the board-game Snakes and Ladders. I never thought that I would type that sentence.

With that being said, lets find out which of our eight men will slide down a slippery snake and which will have a chance to climb a ladder of greatness.

Im always wary of last-minute additions. The last minute addition of Kane tells me that he was never in line to win the match. This is a different situation than Dean Ambrose in the contract match as the other competitors for that match were announced on the same night that he was later inserted.

As seen during Smackdowns conclusion, the Big Red Machine truly has been added for storyline purposes. He assisted Randy Orton in climbing a ladder, proving that he will be aiding the Viper on Sunday. That is not a bad thing, it actually makes perfect booking sense. Triple H handed Orton a slot in the match, then Roman Reigns found his way in. To counteract that, the Game added The Big Red Monster. Kane is the necessary insurance policy.

The only possibility of Kane winning the match on Sunday would be if he went rogue. He is a monster after all. However, unless Orton defeats Kane for the championship between now and when Bryan returns, I dont see how an altered face vs. face match between Bryan and Kane would work considering their interactions throughout the Authority storyline. Wouldnt you just cut out the middle-man and have Orton win the match, rather than play out that scenario? The WWE wouldnt benefit from a sudden face turn and title reign for the 47-year old Glenn Jacobs.

I like the addition of Kane in this match. He is aligned with the Authority and he was previously set to be the #1 Contender for Bryans title. As demonstrated though, he wont be winning this match.
