Brooklyn based interior design firm working on residential and commercial projects is looking for an experienced, creative, and strategically minded senior designer to join the team. We are a small and vibrant studio with a modern, eclectic and artistic aesthetic working on high end residential and hospitality projects in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.

This position is suited to an experienced and creative senior designer who possesses a strong knowledge of contemporary design and art, is confident in all aspects of interior project management, and skilled at leading a team. The position requires 5+ years of experience of working in interior design studios. This position is best suited for individuals who are confident in overall multi-year project management, overseeing construction and acting as a liaison with the OAC team, creation and management of architectural sets in AutoCAD, clear and prompt client communication, and internal studio delegation.

Position is full time and would start immediately. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, and hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:Design and manage multiple projects, from conception to completionWork in conjunction with Principal designer to create full-scope design schemes, including ideation, space plans, layout and electrical plans, finish selection and detailing, sourcing furnishings, and detailing. Orchestrate extensive client presentations and design decks within SBC design team.Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and general contractors throughout the course of each project.Manage project budgets and oversee the purchasing of materials and furnishings.Manage creation and assembly of DD sets, schedules, and spec sheets for architects integration and GCs use. Detailing of custom designs for fabrication purposes. Mentor and train junior designers, delegate and oversee team members.Manage logistics for each project with client, GC, and architect, ongoing correspondence

Candidate Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in high-end interior design- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Google Suite required- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with superior analytical and problem-solving skills- Experienced in preparing client presentations, mood boards & space planning- Demonstrate a proven track record of working in all areas of design (concept design, project management, purchasing, installations, etc.)- Possess a strong knowledge of (and deep curiosity for) contemporary design including artisans, makers, galleries, showrooms, architects & designers- Keen ability to focus and maintain project organization within individual projects, and within the office in general- Display excellence in time management with task-based deliverables - Candidate must be either a U.S. citizen or have a valid employment visa to work in the U.S. and be presently located in New York City
