casualplay
This is the kind of deck that is indicative of the pay to win (eg win at all cost) mindset that plagues MTGO in the casual play section. Most people get tired of playing with these types of players and quit the game altogether. Many people feel the money rares and power creep in MTG have taken the skill out of the game completely. Most of the suggestions for finding a level playing field involve paying to play in another type of format- like planeswalkers sets or drafting. But why should one have to pay additional money for something as basic as fairness in a game when there are many other games that include it? This is merely rewarding WOTC for turning a blind eye to the lack of a genuine casual play opportunity and the kind of game level enterprises they embarked upon with Microprose Magic where everyone had the same cards to work with. Before spending any money on MTGO, ask yourself, do you really want to get trapped in an arms race against a win-at-all costs players who don #39;t know the first thing about real gaming? It #39;s often said there is no shame in losing, but rarely do people have the guts to say there is a shame in winning- but that #39;s what MTGO is for. Often times you will meet players running overpriced tournament quality decks in the casual play section trying to drive new players out or cynically force them to join an expensive and pointless deckbuilding arms race.From:mntoothpickViews:0 0ratingsTime:01:38More inGaming
