Just a day after picking up big nominations for the Critics Choice Awards, Star Trek is once again being recognized, this time for the Saturn Awards. The annual awards event from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films honors the best in genre film and television. This year Star Trek dominates the event with a total of 15 nominations in 7 categories.

Today the nominations for the 51st-anniversary edition of the Saturn Awards were announced, and Star Trek Universe shows brought in a total of 14 nominations across 3 different series: Picard (season 3), Strange New Worlds (season 2), and Lower Decks (season 4). One of the home media releases was also nominated, bringing the total to 15 nominations, a franchise record for the Saturn Awards. Picard picked up the most nominations in television categories with a total of 7, beating out Strange New Worlds with 6 and the Star Wars series Andor with 5.

In many cases, different Star Trek actors and shows compete against each other in the same category, starting with Best Science Fiction Series, in which both Picard and Strange New Worlds nominated. The stars of both shows (Sir Patrick Stewart and Anson Mount) also go head-to-head for Best Actor in a Television Series. In the category of Best Supporting Actor, four of the seven nominees are from Star Trek (Jonathan Frakes, Ethan Peck, Ed Speleers, and Todd Stashwick). Three of the seven Best Actress nominees (Jess Bush, Celia Rose Gooding, and Jeri Ryan) are from Star Trek shows. Paul Wesley and Amanda Plummer are also going up against each other in the Best Guest Star category. The animated series Lower Decks was also nominated for Best Animated Series and the Star Trek: The Motion Picture The Directors Edition was nominated for Best 4K Home Media Release
