DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/8jhcrm/demolition_and) has announced the addition of the "Demolition & Wrecking in the US" report to their offering.

Blast zone: Slumping construction demand offset recent growth, but recovery is in the forecast

The total market for wrecking and demolition services is subject to competition from companies that primarily operate in other building and construction industries, however, contractors operating in this industry capture the bulk of activity in this market and are generally subcontracted by prime building contractors and developers. Recent lethargic growth is really the result of a period of robust growth followed by a substantial decline resulting from the negative impacts of the global economic downturn. The Great Recession delivered a crushing blow to nearly every downstream construction industry, thus causing industry revenue to drop in 2009.

Firms in this industry primarily wreck and demolish buildings and structures and sometimes sell salvaged materials. Other industry services include the clearing and recycling of debris, interior strip outs, handling of asbestos and hazardous materials, site remediation (decontamination and waste disposal), concrete cutting and explosive demolition. Excavation and land clearing work is excluded from this industry.

This report covers the scope, size, disposition and growth of the industry including the key sensitivities and success factors. Also included are five year industry forecasts, growth rates and an analysis of the industry key players and their market shares.

Companies Mentioned

Brandenburg Industrial Service Company

Penhall Company Inc.
