It #39;s located in the Seine-Saint-Denis dpartement, the most populous dpartement in the Greater Paris ("Ile-de-France") area. To spend some green time while in Paris, take that mtro which terminates at PLACE 8 MAI LA COURNEUVE, then take the T1 tramway in the direction of Saint-Denis a few stops, to SIX ROUTES. From there, walk North a bit, and within ten minutes tops, you #39;ll find one of the many entrances to the park, along with an enormous horse/riding center. The park is so big, it has entrances in several different towns and cities just to the Northeast of the Paris city limits. The park has a firing range, dog runs, several lakes and a river, manicured gardens, inaccessible wildlife refuges, the riding center, sports fields (including a huge boulodrome), places for hiking, biking and jogging, picnic areas, pavillions, gazebos, and a variety of wild animals and fish. I saw a man fishing here, and also saw in Stains, one of the nearby towns, a bait and tackle store. These will usually rent you fishing equipment for the day and arrange for you to have a permit for your time here. You do need to be able to speak and understand French.
