Leonard Chris Hovatter, 56, of Buckeye passed away on Thursday July 3, 2014. He was born Sept. 15, 1957 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix to Nina and the late Gordon Hovatter.

He lived in Fountain Hills for 28 years where he raised his family until moving to Buckeye in 2012. He was a valued customer service representative at Honeywell for 32 years. Chris decided to pursue his dream of having his own business and incorporate his love for fixing things. Consequently, he started Affordable Handyman Services in 2011.

Chris was a loving and devoted father to his four children Carrie, Nathan, Brandon and Jacob Hovatter. He treasured being with his family especially on his favorite holiday, which was the Fourth of July.

Chris loved traveling up north with his family and also enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a devoted fan of all Arizona sporting teams especially the Cardinals and Diamondbacks.

He is also survived by his four siblings: Carla Reed, Gordon Hovatter, Virginia Ortiz and Danny Hovatter. Services have already been held to commemorate his memory.
