A handyman who went to a Worcester apartment yesterday for a scheduled maintenance call stumbled upon the bodies of three men, said police, adding they believe the deaths to be drug related and not the result of violence.

The grim discovery was made shortly before 2:45 p.m. on Outlook Drive in Washington Heights.

According to the maintenance man, he had to conduct scheduled maintenance for the apartment. The maintenance man knocked on the apartment door several times and received no answer. At this time he entered the apartment with his master key. Once inside the apartment he immediately observed two males that were unresponsive. The maintenance man notified his immediate supervisor who then called for emergency services, Worcester police said in a statement.

The two males in the front portion of the apartment were deceased. A third victim was located in the rear portion of the apartment. He, too, was deceased.

The mens names were not immediately released pending notification of their families.
