Fidelity National Home Warranty Executive Elected as State Chair of California Home Service Contract Association

Billy Jensen, President and CEO of Concord, CA based Fidelity National Home Warranty, has been elected by the National Home Service Contract Association (NHSCA) to serve as the state chair for the California Home Service Contract Association (CHSCA).

The CHSCA is one of the newest members of the NHSCA State Network. The NHSCA is a non-profit 501(c) (6) industry trade organization of member companies serving home service contract providers and consumer interests throughout the United States. Formerly known as the Home Warranty Association of California (HWAC), CHSCA represents the premier and most respected providers of home service contracts in the state of California and serves as the news, information, education, regulation and legislation resource for the industry. Jensen served as President of the NHSCA from 2008-2010.

"During his 28 years in the home service contract industry, Billy Jensen has proven himself to be one of the finest leaders in the home service contact industry, Art Chartrand, administrator and counsel for the NHSCA, said. Jensen joined Fidelity National Home Warranty in February 1998. Prior to joining FNHW, he served in a variety of sales and management positions in the home warranty and insurance industries as well as Western Division Vice President of Sales for a large national home warranty company. He is also the current president and CEO of Disclosure Source, which provides Natural Hazard Disclosure Reports to the Real Estate Industry.

Home service contracts (commonly called home warranty contracts) provide service, repair or replacement of household appliances and home systems. They cover both built-in and freestanding appliances like dishwashers, ovens, disposals as well as wiring, plumbing and most importantly, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC). Contracts cover failure of these items due to normal wear and tear. The home service contract industry was established in California in 1971. Founded in response to the home management needs of homebuyers and sellers, the industry has grown and strengthened, especially over the past decade.
