Created by one of the original founders of the hugely popular SoulCycle, Flywheel began in New York City in 2010 for serious cyclists. Featuring stadium seating, custom bikes, RPM-tracking bikes, energy output monitors and flat screens tracking fellow spinners performances to create some friendly competition is what makes Flywheel different than other indoor cycling and spinning studios throughout L.A. Like SoulCycle, Flywheel classes are also 45-minutes and feature an intense workout too. This workout offers a chance to achieve something more though. Including climbs and descents while you work your arms with weighted bars, the workouts here challenge your body while relaxing your mind. In addition, Using playlists created for the instructors, music plays an important role in the workouts at Flywheel as classes are choreographed to the music.

With multiple locations throughout L.A. including Venice, Silver Lake and Downtown LA, YAS Fitness is the first studio dedicated to the combination of yoga and spinning, and by incorporating cardio, strength training, stretching and alignment in its routine, it helps to give you a better overall workout Created in 2001 by fitness author and entrepreneur Kimberly Fowler, YAS offers classes for all levels in both a 45 minute class and a 1 hour class.

With a combination of 20 minutes of spinning and 35 minutes of Pilates, the Cyclelates workout will have you burning calories, improving flexibility, and strengthening and toning muscles in no time. The Pilates portion originates from the original Joseph Pilates techniques and uses the reformer to work your abs and arms while the second half of class uses a bike for a maximum cardio burn. In addition to the Cyclelates class, the Cycle Remix features the ever popular spinning portion of the workout for 45 minutes with the use of weights. Whichever route you take, you will be getting your body in tip top shape with well-trained instructors who use progressive teaching methods in a non-competitive and encouraging atmosphere.
