After 40 years in the Avon and Indianapolis business community, Pat Donovan of Donovans Interiors is closing the design showroom and retiring.

Donovans Interiors has received numerous awards and has participated in Home-A-Rama, St. Margarets Guild Decorator Show Houses, and several other showcases.

Donovan has been an active member in the community, both professionally and philanthropically. She is a member of ASID, Kingsway Christian Church, and the Avon Rotary Club. Donovans Interiors has sponsored the Avon Junior Miss contest, various Avon High School activities, and supports the Sheltering Wings auction.

She has written an interior design column for the Hendricks County Icon magazine since April 2008. She also served as an elected representative on the Washington Township Advisory Board.

It has always been my desire to give my clients the best of my expertise to solve their particular design needs, Donovan said. One of my most rewarding efforts was recently designing a little girls bedroom makeover for the Make A Wish Foundation. It was humbling and a true blessing to be involved.

I am grateful to all my clients for allowing me to assist with their design projects and needs. I will miss everyone but I look forward to retiring, traveling and enjoying my family.

Donovan is holding a showroom clearance sale and is selling items at reduced prices.
