The Rocks #39;Living #39; Christmas Tree 2012
Take a peek into the making of the The Rocks #39;living #39; Christmas tree. Created by Australian TV host and landscape architect, Brendan Moar, the tree is made from almost 600 living plants, more than 140 metres of pipe and 1000 stainless steel pot scourers and is designed in the shape of a traditional fir tree. The aluminium pipe that winds around the outside evokes a garland of tinsel and the succulents and scourers mdash;designed to resemble baubles mdash;add a bit of bling to get you in the Christmas mood! This is the fifth sustainable Christmas tree created by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority as part of its commitment to sustainability. Previous trees have been built with recycled bicycles, bottles, chairs and plastic used in event signage around The Rocks. The Rocks Christmas tree is proudly brought to you by Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority. Visit therocks.com for more informationFrom:SHFATheRocksViews:3 0ratingsTime:06:59More inEducation
