County to mull mold contract

NEW BRAUNFELS Today, county commissioners will consider whether to approve a contract with a San Antonio company to remove potentially harmful mold at Comal County Jail.

Comal County commissioners on May 3 approved a legal shortcut around state competitive-bidding laws to speed up the process to remove the mold as soon as possible. They selected Fresh Air Certified Mold Remediation of San Antonio to complete the job at an estimated cost of $102,000.
