Michael Streit, Orange County interior design specialist and president of California Style Home Collections, announced the addition of a new innovative line of luxury furniture, Caracole, while also turning the laidback glamour of the California style seen on home makeover television shows a reality even for the most prudent spenders. Although having worked with high profile clients, to include the star of Bravo TV's 'Real Housewives of Orange County', Alexis Bellino, Streit is now offering his services and even new lines at competitive prices, demystifying the act of hiring a professional interior designer. Thanks to his vast experience and extensive resourcefulness, he is able to create timeless designs that are also practical, make strong statements, and actually save people more money than if they chose to work independently.
According to HomeAdvisor, most homeowners in the Orange County region spent $7,451 to $11,417 on interior designer or decorator costs. While retainer fees, hourly wages and commission charges add up, Streit defies the norm by guaranteeing a fast service, completing a fully customized home in as little as six weeks.
With 20 years of interior design experience, Michael has designed eclectic Californian spaces for thousands of clients, becoming one of Californias finest. Our mission is to make the design process as simple, speedy and seamless as possible, he said. We can bring glamour to the most flamboyant client and adventure to the most daring. But these are tough times, so no matter the style or proportion, we are always mindful of peoples budget, always making the most economical, eco-friendly, and durable choices.
Streit shared that he was able to execute a space design makeover in just two hours. It may seem a little HGTV, but I love creating designs that suit peoples budgets and time restrictions, transforming spaces with transitional pieces that really make a house feel like a home, Streit said.
The California Style 6,000-square-foot showroom is one of the fastest growing in the region, with nearly 60 percent of business from designers, Streit explained. We are a designer center; not a retail store, he added. What makes California Style special is our three-in-one solution. We offer high quality and style furniture, a vast selection of dcor and accessories, from silk floral to lighting, and the dream team of interior design services to produce the perfect space without breaking the bank.
The showroom and design center is located at 23811 Aliso Creek Rd #111 Laguna Niguel, where Michael Streit and his team welcome the general public. More about California Style can be learned at http://www.CaliforniaStyle.com or by contacting them directly at 949-360-9447.

A redesigned player enters the mid-size sedan segment about twice a year, making it one of the most hotly contested segments as well as a best-selling one. The current-generation Chrysler 200's sales for 2013 were 122,480, which was near the bottom of the mid-size sedan segment. It garnered roughly a third of the Honda Accord's 366,678 yearly sales, which is the country's second best-seller to the Toyota Camry and its 408,484 in yearly sales.
2015 Chrysler 200 Up Close
The 2015 Chrysler 200 only has one direction to go when it hits dealerships this spring. Potential buyers of the slickly styled redesigned sedan will be confronted with varying standard features on the four trims levels, including two engine choices and front- or all-wheel drive.
There are some show-stopping standard features like keyless entry and keyless start, but items such as map lights aren't available until you've moved up to the second-highest trim level. Rear passengers only get their own air vents with option packages or on the highest trim level, the 200C. We help navigate the differences here.
Basics: A 184-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine; nine-speed automatic transmission; 60/40-split folding rear seats; 17-inch steel wheels; body-colored door handles and side mirrors; power windows with driver's window automatic up/down operation; and a tilt/telescoping steering wheel
Interior & Tech: Steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, USB input and four-speaker stereo system
Miscellaneous: Keyless entry, keyless start, LED taillights and rear armrest with cupholders
Options: UConnect 5.0 adds the multimedia system that's standard on the Limited and higher trims.

It could be the best home improvement you never see. Or not. It's hard to know.
Window film a transparent barrier that, its makers say, keeps bad sunrays from eating up your furniture and driving up your air-conditioning bills is at its best unseen.
And that's the problem. How do you know it's there? Because it's invisible, I'm tempted to put it in the same category as the Emperor's New Clothes, or the buying and selling of galactic stars. I worry that homeowners are buying into some big transparent lie.
It's like sunscreen for windows, those with more faith tell me. But I want more proof. Plus, I have other concerns about sunscreen for windows.
I like natural light in a house. "The space has great light," real estate agents will say, pointing out a plus in a home. Why kill it?
I like sunshine. I grew up on the West Coast, where, before I knew better, getting a great tan was like a second career. When I did know better, I avoided the sun like a bat and slathered on sunscreen. Now I have Vitamin D deficiency from not enough sun. Someone, somewhere, is wrong.
I like conspicuous consumption. I'd rather buy a new area rug or table than some not-obvious, no-fun home improvement, like, say, insulation.
Plus, I've seen bad window jobs. And just like nose jobs, you notice only the bad ones.
As it happens, there is a man whose job is to turn unenlightened cretins like me around on this subject.
Darrell Smith, executive director of the International Window Film Association, a group of manufacturers, distributors and installers, welcomes my skepticism.

Iconic Stokehouse restaurant is torn down following Friday night's blaze, with Port Phillip mayor Amanda Stevens promising "the best possible outcome" for the venue's future. Nine News.
Architects say the fire that burnt down St Kilda's much-loved Stokehouse restaurant on Friday night has provided an opportunity to build a new landmark beach destination on the foreshore.
''It's about time inner Melbourne had a really exciting piece of beach architecture,'' said Philip Goad, professor of architecture at Melbourne University.
Hundreds of people watched on Friday night as a fire that took hold in the restaurant's kitchen razed the building. Port Phillip Council has demolished the remains.

And, like the debate following the St Kilda Pier kiosk fire in 2003, locals and urban design experts are divided over what should be rebuilt on the Stokehouse site: a heritage replica of the early 1900s building or a contemporary venue.

''I would like to see a similar process to the one engaged in to rebuild the historic St Kilda pier kiosk,'' deputy mayor and local councillor for the area Serge Thomann said.
The restaurant sat on Crown land, and the state government and the council in conjunction with the Van Haandel Group, which holds a 21-year lease over the site, will decide what happens.

Investment in the greater downtown area over the past 17 years has reached $1 billion, bringing hundreds of hotel rooms, dozens of restaurants, wine tasting rooms and retail shops and thousands of square feet of new commercial space to the city center.
This total, reflecting business activity from 1996 to 2013, was announced in a downtown business update report released at the City Council meeting Tuesday.
The $1 billion figure includes disclosed real estate transactions valued at $515 million and private investment of $419 million, including new construction of $342 million.
Its a testament to people having confidence about where Napa is going, said Robin Klingbeil, project coordinator with the citys Economic Development Division.
Major projects built during the past 17 years include flood control improvements, Napa Mill, the Oxbow Public Market, Riverfront and the hotel and restaurants on the west end of First Street.
Mayor Jill Techel cited the $1 billion total as evidence of the worth of Napas flood control projects. Its really effective when I can bring that data to Washington to show the effects of flood protection, she said.
Councilmember Alfredo Pedroza also applauded the figure. I know sometimes theres a fear of change, but well look back one day say, We were right to encourage such investment, he said.
Councilmember Peter Mott commented on the profusion of wine bars. Do we get to the point where we have too many wine bars? he asked. With anything, you can have too much of a good thing.
Weve looked at that, but weve not discussed any type of restrictions. Were looking to fill empty spaces, said Klingbeil.
Studying the years after 1996 is a good baseline because it predates flood control on the Napa River, said Councilmember Juliana Inman. Such analysis also encourages more restoration to overcome past urban renewal botches, she noted.
