About Me
Im Allyn and Im the craft beer drinking, lawn loving, gray-haired guy who makes these videos for yall. Im a nut for sure a bit off-centered and turning more and more eccentric as I age. I am aware of this fact and dont care
I started my first lawn business in 1987 at the age of 14 because I wanted to make some money to take my girlfriend to the movies. My first lawn mower was a bright orange Sears push mower
This is the lawn treatment schedule that I have developed based on my experiences with lawn applications over the years. In this series of lawn videos, I chose a lawn in Crown Point, Indiana to work on throughout the season to show you exactly what to add to the lawn step-by-step during the entire year. It starts in early April and carries you into later fall. However, typically, I would start the program sometime in mid March
These two lawn videos are designed to teach you two of the foundational principles of How To Fertilize The Lawn. Its great if you think you know how to apply lawn products, but dont you want to know that you are truly doing it properly? In addition, you want to ensure that you are not only applying correctly, but that you are applying at the proper rates to get the correct results. Follow this lawn fertilizing guide to ensure a proper application every time!

GARY The city plans to demolish about 60 homes if property owners dont improve conditions deemed unsafe.
Property owners can plead their case at an unsafe building hearing at 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Redevelopment Department, 839 Broadway.
Cedric Kuykendall, demolition coordinator for the Redevelopment Department, said owners have been informed via regular mail, certified mail and through publication of a legal notice in newspapers.
The houses are scattered across the city from Glen Park to Aetna. One commercial property on 15th Avenue is also included.
Kuykendall said the demolition order could be dismissed if a property owners promises to improve the condition of the home in a short period of time, such as within six months.
If a property owner doesnt show up at the hearing, the house likely will be slated for demolition. Attorney Gilbert King, the attorney for the Redevelopment Commission, will serve as the hearing officer.

When the trustees of New Milford United Methodist Church sold the circa-1900 house next door, they had no idea a fast food restaurant would be proposed for the site.
The two-story white house was demolished Monday to make way for a commercial building.
The new owner, 68 Danbury Road LLC, is before the Zoning Commission with an application to construct a 3,000-square-foot fast food restaurant with a takeout window on the site.
That fact and an "emotional attachment" to the house is causing some church members anxiety, said trustee Tom Nixon.
But the property was "sold in good faith and the church is supportive of the new owners and development of the piece," Nixon said.
"But a fast food restaurant going in -- we never anticipated that," he added. "That would have a significant impact on the church. Our building is extensively used throughout the week."
Access to the restaurant would be through the church's existing driveway at the signalized intersection of Danbury Road (Route 7) and Pickett District Road.
Zoning Enforcement Officer Laura Regan has calculated that 1,659 vehicle trips a day could be generated if the 58-seat proposed restaurant is approved.
Paul Szymanski, of Arthur H. Howland & Associates, representing the owner, told zoning board members Tuesday that any number of businesses could end up on the property.
"The owner is proposing a fast food restaurant for the site at this time, but the future tenant could be a bank or a retail store," Szymanski said. "The applicant's goal is to receive approval for maximum use of the (1.11-acre) parcel."
