He may be known as the Party Prince'.

But Prince Harry looked far from comfortable as he had a go on a pair of DJ turntables.

The 28-year-old third in line to the throne was at the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in Nottingham, England on Friday morning (AEST) when he was invited behind the record decks.

The flame-haired prince, who last year was famously pictured partying naked in Las Vegas, gingerly stepped up to the turntables as a rapper introduced him as 'DJ Prince Harry on the ones and twos'.

He grinned nervously as he scratched along to a rap about himself, before earning a big cheer from the watching crowd of students and lecturers who began chanting 'Harry! Harry!'.

The performance won positive reviews on social media sites, where video of the session was shared.

'He's got practice from Las Vegas,' was among the wry comments on YouTube.

Another added: 'Ha ha, legend!'

The DJing came as royal officials dismissed media reports Prince Harry was about to embark on a six-month secondment to the Australian Army.

Australian newspapers reported planning was under way for Harry to be formally embedded in an Australian army unit or would make an extended visit as an observer.

Washington, May 3 (ANI): When it comes to the highest observation decks in the world, Burj Khalifa does not occupy pole position.

The world's tallest building's observation deck "At the Top" gives the view of the Arabian desert from just 452 meters but does not actually lead in the field of observation decks.

In fact, the 828-meter tall skyscraper in Dubai only makes third place in a list of the world's highest observation decks just compiled by Emporis (www.emporis.com), the international provider of building data.

Topping the ranking is Canton Tower, at 618 meters the world's third-tallest structure, which is home, at 488 meters, to the world's highest publicly-accessible observation deck.

The tower not only provides a magnificent view of Guangzhou, but also offers a further attraction to visitors with a particularly good head for heights - the chance to circle the top of tower in glass pods 460 meters above the ground.

The Shanghai World Financial Center ranks at similarly dizzying heights.

Its Skywalk 100, a 55-meter long glass bridge 474 meters up the tower, puts it in second place in the ranking.

It will have to give up its current spot, though, when its neighbor Shanghai Tower is completed next year.

At the spectacular height of 557 meters, Shanghai Tower's observation deck will then far outstrip even the current record-holder.

Also not for the faint-hearted is Willis Tower, the tallest skyscraper in the United States.

The great American porch is back in style. A Census survey reported that nearly two-thirds of new homes built in 2011 had a porch (65 percent), compared to 1995 when only 42 percent of new homes had a porch. The Census data also revealed that porch construction has been on the rise for nearly 10 years.

The Historic Charleston Foundation (HCF) and Habitat for Humanity in Charleston recently partnered to restore a circa 1919 freedmans cottage on Romney Streeta historic street just outside of Charlestons designated historic district. Freedmans cottages are small, one-story homes built as affordable housing for freed slaves following the Civil War. One of their distinct architectural qualities was a side porch, or piazza.

The renovation included rebuilding the houses historic piazza, among other major improvements such as repairing and replacing windows and installing a new roof. HCF was eager to use a long-lasting material for the porch and chose new Perennial Wood porch flooring. The organization was attracted to the exceptional longevity and beauty of Perennial Wood porch flooring and felt it would be well suited for the intricacies of restoring historical buildings, as well as Charlestons wet, humid climate.

Dan Jones, the Charleston Habitat for Humanity construction manager and one of his key volunteer contractors, Herman Roden, were impressed with the porch flooring. The beauty and workability of Perennial Wood made it a perfect fit for this project, Jones said.
