Most of the world's richest investors totally ignore company fundamentals like P/E ratios. Those metrics have NOTHING to do with what makes stocks rise or fall. One indicator is far more accurate -- but less than 1 in 1,000 investors have ever heard of it. This is how wealth is really made in the stock market today.

10 Rock-Solid Dividend Paying Stocks to Own
Historically low interest rates have made it difficult over the last decade for income-oriented investors that want to generate safe cash flow for their retirements.
Dividend-paying stocks have become more appealing to income investors because of their competitive yields, the favorite tax treatment that dividends receive and their ability to grow their payouts over time. While fixed interest rates from bond investments will lose purchasing power to inflation over time, the purchasing power of income from dividend growth stocks is more protected because companies tend raise their dividend payments every year.
In this slideshow, we look at ten of the best high-dividend stocks that offer strong yields (above 3.5%), have consistent cashflow and a strong track record of dividend growth. The companies in this slideshow have all raised their dividend every year for the last ten years.
These companies also have low payout ratios (below 75%), meaning that they will have the ability to continue to pay their dividend if their earnings have a temporary dip.
Stock prices will always fluctuate, but the dividends paid by these rock-solid dividend payers should remain secure with moderate earnings growth.

Cleveland Heights, Ohio | $750,000A 1905 Georgian colonial-style brick house, with eight bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, on a 0.86-acre lot
This home, built for an archbishop, is in Ambler Heights, a neighborhood with 66 architecturally distinguished custom houses. It is a mile and a half southeast of University Circle, Clevelands cultural hub, with Severance Hall (home of the Cleveland Orchestra), the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland Cultural and Botanical gardens and the campus of Case Western Reserve University and its medical center. It is about the same distance south of Little Italys art galleries and restaurants.
Size: 7,643 square feet
Price per square foot: $98
Indoors: A circular driveway leads to the front door, or you can approach the house through a large, columned side entrance designed for carriages.
The front door opens to a vestibule, followed by a grand hallway with a barrel-vault ceiling, polished floors and mahogany woodwork. Thick mahogany pocket doors with vintage hardware lead into a living room measuring 34 by 20 feet. It has one of the homes seven fireplaces and a leaded-glass window bay deep enough to hold a baby grand piano.
Another set of doors connects to a 21-foot-square dining room with paneled walls, a five-window bay and an extra-wide marble fireplace that heats the room efficiently. Burled mahogany doors on one side lead into a library whose walls are covered in bright green moir paper and whose fireplace surround is green ceramic block. This room opens to a sunroom with a terra-cotta tile floor and direct access to the backyard.
On the other side of the dining room is a 24-by-18-foot white kitchen that has a large, curved center island with a sink and grill top and a separate seating area. The periphery is lined in cabinets and white-paneled appliances. A laundry room is next to it.
The home has two staircases, front and back. Off the first landing of the main one a stately mahogany affair is a salon hung with a crystal chandelier. It walks up several stairs to a master suite with a 28-by-21-foot bedroom that has a fireplace with an elaborate wood mantel and a windowed niche; the suite also includes an office, a large walk-in closet and a private bathroom. Three additional bedrooms (two with fireplaces) and two full bathrooms are on this floor.
The third floor contains a guest suite with three bedrooms, an office, a living room, a kitchenette and two full bathrooms. A full unfinished basement has storage rooms and an enormous vintage safe that still works.
Outdoor space: The lot, which is not much shy of an acre, is extraordinarily big for the neighborhood. The fenced backyard includes a deck and a gazebo. Parking is in a detached three-bay garage.
Taxes: $23,120

Tom Gist, a custom home builder who was said to have been advised by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe not to pursue architectural training, but became a celebrated architectural designer in Tucson anyway designed this one-story house, with its deep, flat overhangs, in the Catalina foothills. It is about seven and a half miles northwest of downtown, with unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains and city lights. St. Philips Plaza, with shopping, restaurants, live outdoor music and a weekend farmers market, is less than a mile away, as is Saint Philips in the Hills, the historic Episcopal church that gave the area its name. Access to the Loop, a 131-mile trail system that encircles the city, is less than half a mile away.
Size: 1,723 square feet
Price per square foot: $435
Indoors: The homes burnt-adobe brick construction is exposed inside as well as out. In the living room, the bricks are set below glass that wraps around the space on three sides. The flooring throughout the building is concrete; some of it still bears the marks of tile laid down by a previous owner and removed by the sellers to restore the original surface.
The sellers also brought the kitchen back to its first conception, duplicating the original custom cabinets with their angled, integral pulls. (The new cabinets are rift-sawn white oak with matte-finished quartz countertops; panels disguise the refrigerator and dishwasher.) The kitchen, which includes a gas cooktop and a convection oven, has a dining area with a brick corner fireplace. A door next to the fireplace opens to a small laundry room with a stacking washer and dryer and an oak utility cabinet
The four bedrooms are off a hallway. The narrow triangular window cut out of an exposed brick wall in the master and in one of the guest rooms is a signature design element of Mr. Gist. The master bathroom was recently refinished with the same cabinetry found in the kitchen and has a separate room with a walk-in shower and toilet. The three guest rooms share a bathroom across the hall that is surfaced in square, taupe tile and has a combined tub and shower.
Outdoor space: The sellers rebuilt a deep, walled brick patio that extends along the back of the house and is punctured by a palo verde tree; both the dining room and the master bedroom have direct access to the space. Gravel and native plants surround the building on the other sides. Parking for two cars is in an attached carport.
Taxes: $2,963 (based on a tax assessment of $24,160)

A landscape painter bought this antique gristmill in 1999 for $50,000 and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars and a substantial amount of personal sweat reinforcing it, re-roofing it and otherwise turning it into a year-round live-work space for herself and her husband.
The property is in northern Delaware County, about 150 miles northwest of Manhattan and 65 miles southwest of Albany, N.Y. Oneonta, which has a State University of New York campus, is about half an hour west. The community is agricultural and speckled with artists and weekenders, and has a popular cheesemaker.
Size: 3,864 square feet
Price per square foot: $194
Indoors: The stone base of the board-and-batten-sided building still holds mill apparatus. The main floor consists of a long stretch of open space laid with original chestnut boards that the owner cleaned and stained with tea to even out the color. Timber posts and old barn beams divide the level into a living area, a relaxation area that currently holds a bed, and a kitchen and dining area with a walk-in pantry.
In the kitchen, windows wrap around a corner and an island is outfitted with storage niches, shelves and pothooks. There is also a six-burner Viking range and a double porcelain sink set below a leaded-glass window. Landscapes are painted on the four lower door fronts of the built-in china cabinet. Actual mountains and greenery can be seen from the large, multipaned windows.
Upstairs, the ceiling is beamed and vaulted, and the space includes a master bedroom and bathroom, a walk-in closet, a painting studio and a large sitting room. The bathroom has a claw-foot tub and shower head, and a vintage porcelain sink and medicine cabinet.
Outdoor space: A deck built by the owners extends below the front entrance and overlooks the brook. Woven twigs are used as fencing and as edging for garden beds. Vines climb up the houses stone walls, and daffodils erupt in the spring.
Taxes: $4,723 (2019, based on a tax assessment of $42,600)

Breweries everywhere have always created an outlet for people a time to relax and socialize with others. Unfortunately, in the times of the coronavirus pandemic and with bar closures, it has affected some of Bakersfields local breweries, causing them to remarket themselves and save their businesses.
Owners and brewers from Temblor Brewing Co., Great Change Brewing and 2nd Phase Brewing continued to work by restrategizing their everyday business plan and staying hopeful. Temblor Brewing Companys Don Bynum, 2nd Phase Brewings Frank Miranda and Great Change Brewings Tim and Steve Belmont thought about what they were going to do next to keep their businesses afloat with tap rooms and dining rooms shut down.
For these local breweries, most of their keg sales decreased, but it gave them the opportunity to remarket themselves into selling canned beers.
Master brewer at Temblor Brewing Co. Justin Hill, who works closely with Bynum, said their pint sales have cut in half, but he has seen a 200 percent increase in can sales.
In the transition, we did have kegs go bad so weve had to pour them out, said Bynum. Weve sold twice as many canned beers this year as we did last year. Our tanks have been full and ongoing, which has never happened.
Both Great Change Brewing and 2nd Phase Brewing had to figure out ways to re-market their beers as canned products, where Temblor already had a system in place.
Miranda, who is the only brewer at 2nd Phase Brewing and just opened his business in January, had to quickly think of ways to maintain his business.
I had thoughts of selling to-go and calling up places for easy canning material, labels and things we werent ready for but we needed to be ready for this, said Miranda.
Miranda had support from fellow brewers at Crusader Brewing by letting him use their crowler machine until he figured out his own canning process.
We had to make adjustments with what beers we were going to do. We were still pushing new beers not knowing if people were going to enjoy them or not, Miranda said.
Tim Belmont, co-owner of Great Change Brewing, alongside his brother Steve Belmont and co-owner Kyle Smith, had to refocus their image and think of a solution to increase their sales.
We arent selling any draft beer like we were before so we had to remarket ourselves to canning. We partnered with Lengthwise and they helped us with canning, said Tim Belmont. Now were readjusting and working with our distributors.
Like most businesses, breweries are offering patio dining until they can open their indoor seating to the public.
Because Great Change Brewing and 2nd Phase Brewing do not serve food in-house, theyve managed to partner with other local food vendors to keep their doors open. The California rule requires customers to order meals along with their beers.
Weve partnered with them before but its critical now to sell beer. Were utilizing that patio by having that food component, said Belmont.
Though the coronavirus pandemic has left many businesses struggling to survive, it also gave those businesses a chance to be creative and collaborate.
Its all driven by the canning, whats been selling, whats in the market and following those trends. Were brewing our beer towards supply and demand, said Belmont.
Poncherella Pale Ale, Yo Mr. White and Eve Blonde Ale are a few of Great Change Brewings demanding beers on their market.
Bynum said he and his team are working on creating more beers and continue to sell outside the county.
We kind of felt like losing events and losing the pub and all these things were depressing because a lot of work went away. Weve been able to stay tight and sit down each day, have a beer together and be creative together. We have a common goal and we have fun with it, said Bynum.
Bynum and his team are working on new beers like Golden Empire Strikes Back, Soft and Fluffy and Flannel Shirt.
Miranda, whose business has only been open since the beginning of this year, had to find a turn around to bring customers in, but found a way by partnering with other local businesses downtown like Locale Farm to Table Eatery and Bottleshock. The brewery has Bakersfield inspired themed beers like East Chester IPA, Bakersfield Blues, Farm to Tap Ale and Rich Uncle.
Though these breweries have faced challenges, they are continuously working on ways to keep their doors open all while still connecting with the community.
The community has been incredibly supportive and we wouldnt be open if it werent for that. These programs the government put out it saved us. I hope things continue to improve or theres more help down the road, said Bynum.

FM broadcast is a device that transmitsbroadcasts by wireless transmission. It has the characteristics of no vertical poles for wiring, wide coverage, unlimited capacity expansion, and convenient installation and maintenance. It solves the problems of traditional cable broadcasting wiring difficulties, complicated installation, and poor scalability. For the current large-scale and wide-area schools, FM broadcasting has the superiority that traditional cable broadcasting cannot match.
Application principle
The audio signal collected by the system is modulated to a high-frequency signal of a certain frequency and radiated into the air. The receiving end receives the high-frequency electric wave containing the audio signal. Through frequency selection and amplification, the audio signal is detected by the detection circuit, and then passed Positive, the power is amplified and restored to the original audio signal. This process is thewireless broadcasting system.
Application field
Inorder to allow students to practice English listening, some campuses have installed small FM transmitters, and each student is equipped with wireless monitoring equipment. High-power FM radio speakers can also be installed on campus. Some factories and mines have adoptedmulti-pointautomatic reception transmissionin order to transmit instructions in time. Some townships to natural villages have installed FM radio transmitters and installed FM radio automatic receivers and amplifiers in the villages for the smooth flow of government orders and good publicity work. There are many places in life where wireless broadcast communication is used.

So, when they enter the front gate of Pyramid Hill, they leave Ohio, and by the time they get to the end of the journey, they are at the North Pole, FitzGibbons said.
From the very beginning, they will be envisioning this story through to the North Pole. As you go through each section of the park, a new part of the journey will unfold."
Visitors will see more than five different art installations, created by local and regional artists, along with an expansive, curated display of lights. Guests will also experience a Journey Borealis soundtrack by Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and Cincinnati Boychoir as they drive through the display. Arranged by Daniel Nail, the soundtrack will feature arrangements of holiday music.
Its a journey. Youre going to the North Pole, and its a light-based art installation, and we thought Journey Borealis was perfect to describe what the art drive is and what to expect, northern lights, FitzGibbons said.
As far as other highlights on the journey, guests will go through a Crystal Palace during one segment of the drive.
Current volunteer opportunities at Pyramid Hill will also allow community members to be a part of Journey Borealis. Community members are invited to volunteer at Pyramid Hill every Monday through Nov. 16, and they will assist with installation projects throughout the park. Volunteer projects will include creating innovative lighting effects, installing lights in trees and bushes, building structures, wiring lights, and more.
Opening Pyramid Hill and Journey Borealis up to the community through our volunteer program is an important step in aligning our programming with our mission of Bringing People to Art in Nature. It also provides a shared creative experience, FitzGibbons said.
Additionally, Pyramid Hill is accepting donations of materials. New materials are preferred, but donations can also come from personal Christmas collections of working items. Donations can include single-color strands of lights of any length, colored lights of any length, and construction materials such as plywood sheets and lumber. For additional information about volunteering or donating materials, contact Sarah Rodriguez, project coordinator, at srodriguez@pyramidhill.org.

(Pocket-lint) - Though smart lights can be controlled through voice, and regular lights work just fine with switches, sometimes you want the best of both worlds. That's where smart light switches and dimmers come in, with their capabilities extending far past a normal wired-in switch - all while remaining simple enough for the whole family to use.
Like everything else in the smart home, however, there are a few things to understand before you buy.
Most top smart switches will offer compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, but installation methods vary. Some will just require an adhesive tab, but others will need some wiring - so, make sure the screwdriver is handy. For an easy reference, wall-installed options tend to act as a tool to give you smart control over regular lights, while remote-style switches you stick to the wall often aim to give you more control over already-installed smart lights.
If you're ready to take that lighting setup to the next level, we've detailed some of the top options to help you decide.
squirrel_widget_3492002
There are plenty of great smart home devices under TP Link's Kasa line, but one of the best is the company's Smart Light Switch.
As far as installation goes, it's one of the most straightforward methods that doesn't just, you know, involve sticking an adhesive to the wall. The Kasa app will guide you through each step, but all you really need to do is find the neutral wire behind your regular switch and configure it from there.
There's no hub required, as well, with the switch essentially giving you the ability to turn your regular lights smart. That means you can control them from the app or by using your voice and even set schedules for them.
squirrel_widget_3492021
Belkin's Wemo smart alternative works similarly to other replacements for regular switches, working with Alexa and Google Assistant to give you ample control.
You'll require a single-pole connection and a neutral wire, with the switch not compatible with three-way systems, but once you're set up you'll be able to control the lights and schedule using your voice or the app.
It is a little on the pricey side when compared to similar options, but it's a super reliable and easy system to set up.
squirrel_widget_3492022
Gosund offers up another take on the classic style on smart switches, upgrading your regular fittings into more functioning members of the house.
You get all the typical features once you have set things up, which means scheduling, voice control (through Alexa or Google Assistant), app control and more are at your disposal.
Like other fittings of this type, just be aware that it won't work with three-pole connections, just single-pole. They'll also require a neutral wire to get set up.
squirrel_widget_3492059
If you want to install plenty of smart switches around your home, it can start to get costly.
With Treatlife's four-pack, though, you get to graduate from regular switches and still have enough money to actually pay your mortgage.
It's the same single-pole, neutral wire setup as other switches, with the device itself opening up a world of scheduling, automation through Alexa or Google Assistant, manual app control and more.
squirrel_widget_3625639
Philips serves up a different kind of smart switch with its Wireless Dimmer Switch, which essentially exists to give users another way of controlling their Hue-compatible lights.
Instead of requiring installation to replace your existing switch, the remote is designed to be placed beside it with an adhesive strip. You will require a Hue Hub, but, if you have one, this is a painless way to back up the app and voice control with something manual.
On the switch itself, you're able to dim and brighten the lights you've set up to work with the remote, as well as turn them off and on.
squirrel_widget_3625640
Unlike many other options, which only work with single-pole connections, Meross allows you to replace your regular fitting with this two-way smart switch.
The device is compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant, letting you take advantage of voice control for your lights, as well as app controls.
Just be aware that your switch wiring will require at least one neutral blue wire for installation, something that a lot of old houses don't feature.
squirrel_widget_3625677
Like Philips' Dimmer Switch, the Tap is a stick-to-the-wall type of smart switch that affords greater manual control of your Hue lights.
The four buttons allow you to jump between different, customizable scenes, with the unit itself cleverly powered by kinetic touch. That means there's no need for batteries - you can simply stick the mount to the wall or use it as a remote and it'll remain useable.
It's less of an essential switch than the Hue Dimmer, but it's a really handy way to change the mood with, well, just a simple tap.
squirrel_widget_3625696
Sonoff's touch-enabled smart switch is a beauty, providing you with one of the neatest and most affordable ways to add more functionality over your regular light switch.
The device is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, with this backed up by app control and the ability to create scheduling routines and light scenes.
Just note that the installation will require a neutral wire, and the switch itself will only work with one-way connections (though Sonoff does offer two-way and three-way options, too).

Former Vice President Joe Biden put his foot squarely in his mouth during the debate last week when talking about energy policy.
Many pundits thought Biden would make that kind of gaffe in the first debate but President Donald Trumps frequent interruptions ensured that would not happen. However, during the second and final presidential debate, Biden made a mistake when he declared that America needed to transition from oil and gas to green energy.
The energy (fossil fuel) industry is one of the largest in our country according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. In 2019, 81 percent of our energy consumption was tied to petroleum, natural gas and coal, leading to 1,122,764 jobs and generating $181 billion in total revenue.
Furthermore, for the first time since 1957, America produced more energy than we consumed last year. Interestingly, while energy production grew by 5.7 percent in 2019, energy consumption actually decreased by 0.9 percent. While natural gas continues to top energy production, followed by crude oil, coal, nuclear power and natural gas plant liquids in descending order for a total of 89 percent of production sources, the other 11 percent is comprised of biomass, wind, hydropower and other sources, including solar.
It is more than fair to assume that any so-called transformation from fossil fuel to green energy would have major disruptive consequences for our national economy. Luckily, we have a state that has been experimenting with this transformation for some time now in California, where rolling blackouts are a common experience because reliance on green energy is intermittent and isnt capable of matching demand to supply in an efficient manner.
Between 2011 and 2017, Californias electricity prices rose five times faster than they did nationally, Environmental Progress noted. Today, Californians pay 60 percent more, on average, than the rest of the nation, for residential, commercial and industrial electricity. This is not a model that the rest of the country should follow.
This is Californication with few concepts from the Golden State worthy of replication. Not only are electricity costs in California over the top, gasoline prices are also the highest in the nation. This is because the California Progressives continue to push the absurd principles of carbon neutrality which includes high gasoline taxes, higher than national standards requirement for gas mileage and, just recently, the outlawing of gasoline vehicles by 2035!
What Californians are now experiencing is what the rest of our country will endure if we allow Far Left politicians to implement the New Green Deal (NGD) advocated by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, and U.S. Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass.
What I did not know until recently is that the NGD is not just about mitigating climate change, it is also about economic inequality. Forgetting economic inequality a moment, combating climate change is wishful dreaming because Communist China, India and Russia, all of which still rely on extensive use of coal-fired plants, still spew out toxic chemicals and haze which cannot simply be limited to within their national borders. As volcanic eruptions can show, the wind does not respect national boundaries. The unilaterally expensive remediation called for by AOC, the Bernie Bros and U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., to be imposed on American industry will never guarantee carbon decline in our air or a substantial difference in climate change.
Even an international treaty the Paris Accord which thankfully Trump withdrew the U.S. from, was unenforceable and had loopholes large enough for a wind turbine to slip through. Had America tried to live up to the Paris Accord, industries across the nation would be hindered with expensive regulatory costs which would make the U.S. uncompetitive.
Clean energy is not really clean though it is, admittedly, cleaner. To manufacture wind turbine blades, toxic chemicals must be used and then carefully disposed of since they are, at this time, still extremely hard to recycle. A turbine tower on average is around 280 feet high (about the same height as a 28-story building). These towers are noisy, ugly and kill somewhere between 328,000 to 573,000 birds indiscriminately every year.
Solar has its own unique set of problems including the currently high initial costs (solar panels, inverter, batteries, wiring and installation); being weather-dependent; solar energy storage being so expensive that some experts say it makes more sense to use it during the day and switching back to fossil fuels during the night; the amount of acreage needed for a solar farm; pollution from the transportation and installation of the panels; and, just like wind turbines, the manufacture of photovoltaic systems requires toxic materials and hazardous gasses.
Meanwhile, fracking has become an anchor around Bidens neck since he does not seem to know whether he is for it or against it. But, his running mate, U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., was an early co-sponsor of banning fracking in the U.S. Senate. With avid support from AOC and a host of others, the future of fracking is in doubt if Biden gets elected. Though fracking has been around since 1947, as recently as 2015, there were around 300,000 hydraulically fractured wells. Today, there are more than 1.7 million wells producing more than 7 million barrels of oil and 600 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Fracking also directly employs around 636,000 people.
Without petroleum, we would all be screwed as more than 144 everyday products are made from its derivatives, including tires, boats, antiseptics, shoes, deodorant, paint, shampoo, aspirin, eyeglasses and detergents, to name just a few.
America can not afford to be Californicated energy-wise and the NGD would only exacerbate energy costs and issues. Americans expect to be able to walk into any room, flip a switch and have the lights come on. Neither industry nor consumers will be satisfied to pay higher energy costs offset with less dependability and sustainability. Furthermore, our national security is dependent on fossil fuels since the U.S. military is the largest consumer of energy.
Transforming from fossil fuels to green energy and a ban on fracking will lead to the Californication of America. Think twice before you vote for Joe Biden.

Remote visual assistance vendor TechSee has closed out a $30 million Series C round that brought its total investment to $54 million. The round was co-led by OurCrowd, Salesforce Ventures, and Telus Ventures with participation from Scale Venture Partners and Planven Entrepreneur Ventures.
TechSee plans to use the new funding to enter new markets and verticals while also expanding its product offerings and capabilities.

Founded in 2015, Tel Aviv-based TechSee has made its mark during the Covid-19 pandemic by enabling technicians from companies such as Vodafone and Verizon to turn up customers' services remotely without entering their homes. TechSee is also used by contact centers to reduce the number of calls and improve the productivity of support agents
TechSee had driven its solutions into the realm of augmented reality and artificial intelligence (AI) to help solve issues remotely and quickly. Unlike some remote virtual assistants, TechSee doesnt require the customer to download an application to their smartphone or tablet.
TechSees AI platform can automatically identify components, ports, cables, LED indicators, and more to detect issues and suggest resolutions for consumers, contact center agents, and field technicians. TechSee is a cloud-based solution that runs on Amazon Web Services. Since there are no downloads or sign-ins, the service can be up and running in days.
With TechSee, a telco customer agent can send an SMS to the broadband subscriber that is experiencing a broadband issue. The subscribers click on the link that turns on their smartphone cameras to show the agent a broadband router our set-top box. TechSee supports Android and IoS devices, and also works on tablets.
Currently, there are more than 50 companies, including Logmein, Teamviewer, and Help Lightning, that provide remote visual support for installations, but they don't use computer vision AI.
In addition to keeping techs and customers safe during the shelter-at-home mandates from Covid-19, TechSee can also reduce costly truck rolls for operators by solving installation or service issues remotely.
"TechSees technology reflects a material leap forward in delivering great experiences and support to consumers," said Rich Osborn, managing partner, Telus Ventures. "Covid-19 has also accelerated the path to adoption through very clear use cases, and the transition from traditional means of servicing customers is primed for an evolution. The majority of consumers have powerful mobile computing devices that can enable a wide variety of virtual and augmented reality applicationsfrom solving simple technical issues or unboxing and installing new devices, to activating and bringing user guides into real life.
"Telus Ventures was impressed with TechSees strong traction in enabling telecommunications client service through unique and differentiated technology, and its ability to innovate and deliver new capabilities during the COVID-19 crises."
TechSee's roadmap
TechSee's use of AI and augmented reality, along with the new funding round, is opening doors into new use cases and products. Autonomous assistance for technicians will allow telecom and cable technicians in the field to point their smartphone or tablet at a device, its components, wiring, LEDs, ports and cables to get troubleshooting guidance. It will also include auto-job verification such as providing feedback if the fibers are configured incorrectly.
TechSee is also working on visual self-service, which will allow consumers to self-install and troubleshoot issues in self-servicesuch as router installationby pointing their smartphone camera at the device. Currently, the TechSee technology still requires an agent on the other end to speak with the customer to identify issues and troubleshoot.
With automated visual self-service, no agent will be needed because the computer vision AI can work with the customer directly to pinpoint problems and identify solutions. It can also diagram solutions using an AR overlay right on the consumer's tablet or phone screen. It's also fully automated, which means businesses can save time, money and resources by deflecting callers to the self-service portal.
TechSee, which currently has 60 employees, but expects to have 100 by year's end, has also seen some additional use cases crop up this year. One new use case includes "bill and invoice explanation" where an agent can visually guide customers through their bill or total automated self-service. TechSee's computer vision AI can identify the components and line items of a bill and help explain them to the customer.
App navigation has also proved to be an interesting use case for TechSee. Some telecom customers are finding TechSee's solution valuable when it comes to learning how to use their provider's mobile applications.
TechSee is also seeing its customers use its technology for on-site support when a technician is having difficulty solving a problem. In that use case, technicians contact an expert, such as an engineer, back at the office to help them fix problems without having to dispatch to the site.
"We believe there is significant potential to expand TechSees relationship with telcos globally by growing its offerings with existing customers and continuing to deliver value-added services to become a leading visual assistance company that can enable organizations like Telus to enhance its customer service and support," said Osborn.
