At Thursday's WellFest in Delray Beach, you may find your answers. The latest addition to the city's lineup of activities includes the first annual WellFest, founded by part-time resident and marketing executive Bob Lipp.
"I think Delray is the perfect venue to host this type of event. People are health-conscious, there are business infrastructures in place to welcome us and if you think about the Delray brand, health and wellness come to mind," Lipp said.
A grassroots effort, Lipp has enlisted the support of former mayor, Jeff Perlman who said, "WellFest Delray 2013 will be the inaugural event of what we believe will become a yearly tradition. Delray has always attracted sports, exercise and fitness enthusiasts. Even many of our restaurateurs and chefs are promoting healthier eating, while continuing to cater to all tastes."
Lipp has organized speakers and fitness demonstrations, including Mark Stowe, owner of the Nutrition Cottage on Atlantic Avenue; Margaret Ann Lembo, author and owner of the Crystal Garden, a spiritual center and book store in Boynton Beach; Michelle Goebel, a certified meditation teacher who studied with Deepak Chopra at the Chopra Institute in San Diego; and certified feng shui consultant Sheree Diamond, who will talk abot maximizing potential by decluttering your home.
"It's a great idea to have a wellness expo and bring awareness to the local community. There are all sorts of resources available and people have options," said Diamond, aka The Flow Doctor, a former feng shui columnist. "I like that there will be demos, and hands-on experiential events such as yoga, qi-gong and massage."
Diamond will offer a free one-hour feng shui workshop as part of WellFest to help unblock your home and life.
"Clutter is the first step to address feng shui in the home," she said. "Your house clutter mirrors your emotional clutter, and feng shui can help you move energy through your home and your life."
One suggestion she offers is to see your home as a large vision board and program it to attract what you want to attract in your life. And to surround yourself with things you love. Choose dcor carefully and wisely she said to create beauty and harmony in your environment.

HONG KONG: A Hong Kong fortune teller who once advised Asias richest woman but was later embroiled in a high-profile legal battle over her fortune has renounced feng shui for Christianity, a report said yesterday.
Bartender-turned-fortune teller Tony Chan built a career advising clients including the late Hong Kong property tycoon Nina Wang on feng shui, an ancient Chinese belief system based on harnessing natural and spiritual energies.
He lost a legal battle in 2010 to claim the estimated US$13 billion estate of Wang, once Asias richest woman whom Chan said was his lover, after the drama had gripped the city for years with details of his affair with the tycoon.
Now Chan has described feng shui as the work of the devil after he recently embraced Christianity and changed his name from Tony to Peter, the South China Morning Post reported.
This is the happiest day in my life. It felt like getting married, and I could tell everyone that I am a Christian, he was quoted as saying by the newspaper, which released a photo of him being baptised this week.
Chan lost his court case after a court ruled that a will in his possession was a fake. It said the rightful heir to the fortune was the billionaires charity, which is run by her siblings. AFP

Bratton must mend community fences
In observing the coverage and conversation around new Oakland Police Department consultant William Bratton, much of it has been focused on the narrow scope of his extremely expensive contract and fears of the infamous stop-and-frisk tactics Bratton employed in Boston, New York and Los Angeles.
Now that Bratton is here to stay, it is my hope that he can mend fences with the grass-roots citizens groups who were his initial opponents to better inform his work.
Whether his contract was worth its price will be proven by the outcomes of his tenure, and he will undoubtedly find success difficult to achieve if he views the community as adversaries of his agenda rather than allies in reducing violent crime in Oakland.

IT WAS the sweatiest, hardest, dirtiest work they will do all year.
Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson, head of coaching Chris Fagan, and repatriating star Brendan Whitecross went bush at Boomer Bay yesterday to rebuild fences destroyed in the Dunalley bushfires.
The digging was hot and hard, and the rocks unforgiving.
The Hawthorn men worked in blackened bush to put in steel droppers and huge straining posts cut from nearby trees and rolled into place.
Despite actual blisters on their hands, they plan to do the same again today for nothing more than a sandwich, bottle of water and a well-earned thank you.
The fences may have been as straight as a politician's promise, but the trio revelled in the challenge.
It was Clarkson's idea to put together a crew to work in the Dunalley area.
He left his team behind in Melbourne to prepare for Saturday's NAB Cup clash against Richmond at Aurora Stadium.
Clarkson, who will joined them when they arrive in Launceston tomorrow, was hardly prepared for the damage caused by the fires.

NEW YORK, March 6 (UPI) -- Almost half of Africa's lions are facing extinction and fencing them in -- and keeping humans out -- may be their only hope for survival, conservationists say.
Writing in the journal Ecology letters, researchers said nearly half of Africa's wild lion populations might decline to near extinction during the next 20-40 years without urgent conservation measures, including fenced reserves.
"It is clear that fences work and unfenced populations are extremely expensive to maintain," Craig Packer of the University of Minnesota said.
Conservation costs are lower and lion population sizes and densities are greater in reserves secured by wildlife-proof fences, Packer said.
Separating lion and human populations will be essential for the species' survival, researchers said.
"These findings highlight the severity of the lion conservation crisis today and the limited choices we have to ensure a future for the species," Luke Hunter, president of big-cat advocacy group Panthera, said.
"No one wants to resort to putting any more fences around Africa's marvelous wild areas, but without massive and immediate increases in the commitment to lion conservation, we may have little choice," he said.
It is estimated that fewer than 30,000 lions remain in Africa in just 25 percent of the species' original natural habitat, a Panthera release said Wednesday.
