As difficult as it is to do, placing judgment, which results in having these animals taken away, does not accomplish anything positive, overall, in the end. There are not enough rescues and shelters which can take these animals in and care for them. PAWS is the only program, within the Rochester community, taking this proactive approach, and no one else is going to get this done. That #39;s why we so desperately need the community to help with donating to our organization, whether it be through monetary means, or through tangible goods. Matt, through the PAWS community outreach program, and with the help of volunteers and the community #39;s support, can make a huge impact on the welfare of not just dogs, but even cats here in our city. Not only will PAWS provide a voice and a presence, but the program will continue to strengthen and change the face of animal welfare in our community. Explosion destroys homes in Indiana - Images
A homeowner, her boyfriend and the boyfriend #39;s brother have been charged with murder in connection with a house explosion in Indianapolis that killed two people, destroyed five homes and damaged dozens more, a prosecutor said Friday. Monserrate Shirley, Mark Leonard and Bob Leonard were arrested Friday and charged with felony murder in the Nov. 10 blast, Marion County prosecutor Terry Curry said at a news conference in Indianapolis. John Dion Longworth, 34, and his 36-year-old wife Jennifer Longworth, died in the explosion. The blast destroyed five houses including the Longworths #39; home located next door to Shirley #39;s home in the Richmond Hill subdivision on the city #39;s far south side. The late-night explosion, which was heard from miles away, damaged about 90 more homes and sent residents fleeing, some in their pajamas.
