The mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatrk
An #305;tkabir is the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey. It is located in Ankara and was designed by architects Professor Emin Onat and Assistant Professor Ahmet Orhan Arda, whose proposal beat 48 other entries from several countries in a competition held by the Turkish Government in 1941 for a "monumental mausoleum" for Atatrk. The site is also the final resting place of #304;smet #304;nn, the second President of Turkey, who was interred there after he died in 1973. His tomb faces the Atatrk Mausoleum, on the opposite side of the Ceremonial Ground. From:milo davidorfViews:1 0ratingsTime:00:51More inTravel Events

Why should Architects hire Raj Goel and Brainlink? – Video

    - December 15, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

Why should Architects hire Raj Goel and Brainlink?
Why should Architects hire Raj Goel and Brainlink? Our business was wiped out by a viral invasion [prior to hiring Brainlink - ed] and for no reason, just because. And we couldn #39;t afford it. The issue of Internet security is really, really important to us. He put us back in the business, he got all the glitches out, he got rid of the viruses, he cleaned out all the computers, he saved us in a very big way from failure. It was really an impressive performance. Mark Ellis Partner, Cornerstone ArchitectsFrom:rajgoelnycViews:3 0ratingsTime:00:42More inScience Technology

Why should architects trust Raj Goel and Brainlink?
Why should architects trust Raj Goel and Brainlink? He and his guys are very sharp. They have a holistic picture of what we #39;re trying to achieve and he has a very good perception of what the businesses need. His advice has always been really practical and easy to implement and he #39;s managed to get it done when he says he #39;s going to do it. I #39;ve been really pleased with his work. 55 Mercer Lofts – Video

    - December 15, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

    55 Mercer Lofts
http://www.markdavidny.com 55 Mercer Street, a historic 19th century cast-iron faced building, provides intimate private living at the crossroads of the world. The building has been newly renovated and houses four meticulously crafted three-bedroom floor-through loft apartments that epitomize modern luxury living. Designed by Griffith Thomas, who was dubbed by the American Institute of Architects "the most fashionable architect of his generation", this 1871 Italianate masterpiece evokes the inimitable character of SoHo. The building lies on one of the area #39;s more tranquil streets, yet is steps away from some of the city #39;s chicest shops. Its scale, materials, and gorgeous period detailing make it an exemplar of the landmarked Cast-Iron Historic District. 55 Mercer elegantly combines its mercantile factory roots with understated luxury living.From:SachaMDNYViews:1 1ratingsTime:01:11More inPeople Blogs

New Mexico’s acequias: Rachel Preston Prinz at TEDxAcequiaMadre – Video

    - December 15, 2012 by Mr HomeBuilder

New Mexico #39;s acequias: Rachel Preston Prinz at TEDxAcequiaMadre
Acequias have long been an important resource in New Mexico. In the modern world, the underutilization and misuse of acequias threatens our local agriculture systems and nature #39;s ability to provide for all of us the one thing we need most: water. What future do acequias hold for New Mexico? Can they, and thus we, get back on track to a truly sustainable future? Rachel Preston Prinz is an architectural designer and historian in New Mexico. She finds the best of what is old and remakes it, and/or perceptions of it, by building architectural languages that transcend architectural styles. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, The SEED Network, Architecture 2030, and The International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture Urbanism. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)From:TEDxTalksViews:8 1ratingsTime:06:32More inMusic
