Parrot Cay sounds as if it were once a real-life Treasure Island; a place where you might have bumped into Long John Silver and other pirates of the Caribbean. If you didn't know, it might almost come as a disappointment to discover that the Parrot Cay resort, situated on its own large private island in the Turks and Caicos, is the ultimate in fancy luxury resorts not a treasure chest, peg leg or eye patch in sight.
I had actually chosen Parrot Cay for a very special mission. I was planning to try Pilates for the first time as part of a vigorous daily exercise programme: my goal was to lose weight and tone up.
Stretch on the sand: The exercise programme at Parrot Cay includes lots of Pilates and yoga classes
My journey to Parrot Cay involved flying to Miami and then heading for Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. From here it was a short drive to the port where I hopped on a boat to take me to Parrot Cay.
At reception I discovered I was staying in a beachfront villa that came complete with my own butler, Jonson, who was waiting for me with a golf buggy (the only transportation on the island).
My accommodation for the next week was fabulous: 'Lovely,' I told Jonson. 'Just so lovely.' Indeed it was: a spacious living room with whitewashed walls and Balinese furniture; patio doors led outside to a decking area with a private pool. It was dark but I could hear the ocean and it made me smile.
The four-poster bed in the separate bedroom draped in light breezy cottons was also mightily uplifting. Jonson offered to unpack for me but I politely declined I couldn't bear the thought of him having to sort through my underwear and bikinis. He did however run me a bath using the most deliciously smelling Como Shambhala products. As I slipped into the hot, relaxing water I felt just a little bit like a princess.

INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis man was arrested after he was caught exposing himself from the window of his west side apartment twice in one night, police said.
Officers were called to the 200 block of Welcome Way Boulevard East Drive on Saturday night on a report of a man standing naked in front of his sliding glass patio doors, fondling himself.
Police spoke with Bernard Hunt, 63, who was intoxicated, and they explained that he could be seen naked through his windows, according to the police report.
Hunt agreed to put on clothes and officers closed his blinds before leaving the apartment.
But about 30 minutes later, officers were flagged down near the apartments by a person who said Hunt was exposing himself again.
Officers saw Hunt had again taken off his clothes and was standing in front of his sliding glass doors, according to the police report.
Hunt was arrested on preliminary charges on public indecency and indecent exposure.
While officers were waiting to transport Hunt, he gave them permission to turn on his TV, but a pornographic movie came on, according to the police report.
When the officer immediately changed the channel, Hunt "quickly encouraged (the officer) to turn it back to the pornography movie," according to the police report.
The officer declined and turned the TV off.

Treat severely infected areas a second time after 1 to 2 weeks to further eliminate growth. Wearing gloves and covering the immediate landscape is recommended.
In order to keep the outside of the home looking new, take a garden hose and rinse the house off once a year. The volume of water is responsible for the cleaning. The small amount of chlorine found in tap water can help prevent mold growth as well, said Paul. Despite the advice of many DIYers, do not pressure wash. Pressure washing is reserved for painting preparation, 3,000 psi, (pounds per square inch) can damage the current paint job, explains Paul.
Hard water can leave spots that are difficult to remove on the windows. Inquire of a window washer to come and spray the home clean before they get started on the windows.
