The interior design project can be submitted online through the new site beginning December 1st, 2012.

Principal and lead designer for MyDesignerOnline.com Maura Braun, IIDA, MFA, has been in the interior design industry for 24 years. She has served as President of the interior architecture and design firm, Braun Design, Ltd. for the past 18 years. Five (5) years ago she began thinking about a way to make it easier to work with a professionally licensed interior designer. The internet has helped to turn her idea into a reality.

The client takes measurements of one room at a time in the north/south and east/west directions, clicks on the get started link, fills out the get started form and hits submit. The more detailed information provided on the get started form, such as budget and goals, the more thorough the service provided will be. The client elects either the D.I.Y. or Designer Level of Services for the project. The client will implement the entire project on their own at their own pace under the D.I.Y. Level of Service. The Designer Level of Service will provide the proposals for allowing My Designer Online.com to order the products and oversee the project for the client. These options are selected under the Terms of Agreement within the Get Started link. An invoice is issued through PayPal for payment of services to be provided. Once payment in full is received, the client will then receive a survey from Survey Monkey. The survey covers questions pertaining to colors, style, pets, children and desired goals, among other questions. The survey helps to tailor the project goals and details to match the client's lifestyle for a residential project or work environment for a commercial project. Upon completion of the survey, a timeline for the project will be submitted to the client. The timeline states what will be received online and/or received in person by what date, so that the project stays on target towards the completion date.

The design phase begins and will cover all surfaces, furnishings and fixtures under consideration for change within the room. All specifications will be uploaded into a presentation, complete with online links for viewing and/or purchasing the specifications directly, if the client chooses the DIY level of service. The Designer Level of Service will provide 24 hour online access to the project orders that have been placed. The presentation will also include a rendering and presentation board with the actual materials proposed. The entire presentation is received in booklet form in person and will include the pricing, drawings and specifications proposed for the project, along with the How To Plan for orchestrating the project.
