The Season of Fortune, Legends of Runeterras next ranked season launches with the games 1.4 patch later today. It will contain a number of adjustments that are likely to shake up the meta.
Balance changes in the update include a focus on improving underutilized Epic units and champions, buffs to the Freljord region, and an adjustment to steal effects. Nab is a new mechanic in LoR, replacing the previous steal-from-deck effect. Instead of removing cards from the top of an opponents deck, Nab removes them from the bottom. The intention is to reduce drawing buffed cards from an opponent or possibly increasing their chance to top-deck a champion.
The focus on the Freljord region has been long overdue, despite the recent popularity of Sejuani. Anivia was once the queen of Control decks and Braum hasnt seen a good amount of gameplay since the open beta. Adjustments to both champions in the update should shift back into top-tier status. From champion buffs to Epic units like Jae Mederda, heres every nerf and buff taking place within the LoR 1.4 update.
Hoping to increase playability for certain LoR champions, adjustments were made to Darius, Anivia, and Braum.
The increase to Darius health only affects his leveled up form. Considering most players dont bring him into play until he levels up, though, this buff is a big deal. Expect to see Darius once again in Midrange Noxus builds and even potentially in Burn decks as a solid finisher.
Since the release of Rising Tides, Anivia was often overlooked due to her casting cost of seven. The Riot team compared her to Nautilus and a leveled-up Karma and decided to reduce her cost by one. Expect Frost Control decks to return within the meta.
Braum was given a total overhaul, increasing his cost and power level , while also adjusting his text. Braum was always at his best when spitting out Poros after being dealt damage, so the LoR team made it his baseline and leveled up ability. His cost increase takes this into account, along with his power of one at baseline and a +1/+1 when leveled.
A total of five LoR Epic units are getting adjustments in the upcoming 1.4 update. Cards with Nab have been changed, and a major nerf was applied to Black Market Merchant, reducing his health by one.
Genevieve Elmheart is often overlooked in Scout builds and other Midrange decks due to other six-cost Demacia cards like Cithria the Bold. The LoR team has increased her stats in hoping that shell have an impact on the Standard Constructed meta. As a 5/4, Swiftwing Lancer sees play; and as a 5/5 with Scout, so might Genevieve Elmheart.
The intentional design behind Captain Farron was to use him as a finisher against slow decks. His original text had a player discard their hand in order to turn those cards in Decimates. Now he creates three Decimates upon being summoned, instead. The change to Captain Farron will likely earn him gameplay in Noxus Burn decks as a solid finisher.
She Who Wanders received an added Keyword, Regeneration. A change like this may have an impact on Freljord Control decks.
Ren Shadwoblade is a powerful Ionian Epic card. His cost reduction will allow him to get played more often in Ephemeral builds, but his power and health decrease will increase his vulnerability to removal.
Jae Mederda has an awesome ability that was often overlooked due to his casting cost. A reduction from eight to six makes him more accessible and will likely create cantrip thats worth putting him P&Z Control builds.
Endure decks have taken a slight hit, but the cost increase wont likely change its tier status.
A nerf to Escaped Abomination not only increases the vulnerability of the card to removal, but also reduces its survivability upon being blocked.
Sea Monster builds wont get hit too hard with the nerf to Dreg Dredgers. It will reduce the Deep decks early game presence, but not enough to hurt the overall build.
Bilgewater Keg decks are fun to play, but the LoR team wants them viable in competitive play as well. An increase in health to Petty Officer wont likely make that happen. It will, however, work nicely in those meme decks.
A nerf to Black Market Merchant will improve the health of the overall LoR meta. Hes more vulnerable to removal at one health and will likely get taken out within a turn or two at most.
Of the six spells adjusted in the LoR 1.4 update, The Harrowing and Unyielding Spirit will have the greatest impact. A buff to Super Mega Death Rocket will also increase Jinx builds, as it only costs one spell mana to cast it now.

Spilling the tea! Below Deck MediterraneanstarJessica Morereveals behind-the-scenes secrets while filming aboardTheWellingtonin an exclusive interview withIn Touch. I just know theres cameras everywhere, she shares.
Whether its an actual cameraman or its placed on the wall somewhere or propped up somewhere theres always a camera in sight, Jessica, who is the third stew, explains.Theres zero privacy unless youre going to the restroom. Well, thats a relief!
Despite the lack of peace and quiet, Jessica said the cameras are always rolling leaving no room for slackers. The most challenging for me is going non-stop, literally, she shares. Im the type of person that needs my downtime to myself, so it was a challenge to constantly being on. It was a challenge to always have to be on.
Although the crew gets an hour or two [hour] break in which they might get lucky enough to fall asleep, its never enough. Itd be exhausting, Jessica recalls. I think youre running off of adrenaline the whole time.
Jessica explains life as a yachtie, especially onBelow Deck, is not something you can study for. I had the experience. I had been doing yachting for like three years but its one of those where you can never be prepared in time for a charter in 24 hours, whatever that time span is. So you just got to do what you got to do.
Once you step aboard, You hit the ground running and you dont even really get too much of a chance to figure out how things work, she continues.
Although life onThe Wellington is anxiety-ridden, its not much different from other mega-yachts. Listen all yachts are stressful because youre handling a chunk of money it feels like and its always intense the clients, the owners, the guests, whomever they always want the best service and you want to provide that to them, the Bravo star says. But then theres still that level of fun. I feel like the spirit that a lot of yachties have is wanting to have fun, so its that whole mentality of work hard play hard. So the work environment is stressful but its fun.
Below Deck Mediterraneanairs on Bravo Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.

Magic: The Gathering Core Set 2021 (M21) launches this week. That means its time to talk about the sets Limited archetypes and themes so you can build the best deck possible.
Heres what you need to know about the upcoming set.
As with most Core sets, M21 has 10 dual-color archetypes and signpost uncommons to send players in the right direction.
Azorius decks are all about controlling the ground game and winning by taking to the skies. Common playables like Mistral Singer and Gale Swooper get some major backup by this decks signpost uncommon, Watcher of the Spheres. Just dont forget to draft some solid ground blockers like a late-pack Wishcoin Crab.
Embrace the dark side with Dimir this season by bringing dead things back to life. The first step is to fill the graveyard with cards like Rousing Read or this decks signpost uncommon, Obsessive Stitcher. Then, bring back your best cards with the selfsame Stitcher or equally playable Rise Again. Look for powerful synergies in cards like Archfiends Vessel or simply raw power like Gloom Sower.
Sacrificing your own creatures for profit is the gameplan for Rakdos decks in M21. Pick a handful of enablers like Goblin Arsonist and Deathbloom Thallid, then go all-in on attacking with the signpost Dire Fleet Warmonger and Hobblefiend. You could also get straight value by casting Village Rites and Goremand.
Gruul decks go big or go home. Four power is the sweet spot as usual for M21 and cards like Turret Ogre and Bone Pit Brute are the perfect creatures to power up this deck. Throw in value like Ornery Dilophosaur and the mana-generating signpost uncommon Leafkin Avenger. What is there to do with all that mana? Go even bigger.
Make sure to bring some extra dice if youre playing Selesnya this season because +1/+1 counters are all over this deck. Early plays like Pridemalkin and Makeshift Battalion get the counter train rolling, then get bolstered by creatures like Basris Acolyte and removal like Hunters Edge. Payoffs in the form of Wildwood Scourge and signpost uncommon Conclave Mentor are playable at any point in the game and can get out of control quickly.
Orzhov cares about gaining life, and in M21, the magic number is three. Gain three by using cards like Revitalize or take risks with Tavern Swindler. This deck looks geared more toward a controlling style of gameplay, so pack in plenty of removal. Then, get cards back with Sanguine Indulgence or build a finisher using Light of Promise. Signpost uncommon Indulging Patrician gives your deck inevitability, so feel free to play defense.
This decks signpost, Twinblade Assassins, gets straight to the point: Golgari decks want things dead. Sometimes, thats from combat, but you can also just use signature black removal spells like Finishing Blow and Grasp of Darkness. True to form, these decks get the most benefit from death, evidenced by cards like Caged Zombie and Sabretooth Mauler.
Drawing cards is great and Simic decks are going to be drawing in spades. Draw a little with Frantic Inventory or draw a lot with Read the Tides. You can even draw by attacking with Library Larcenist. Payoffs come in green in the form of Gnarled Sage, Burlfist Oak, and the decks signpost, Lorescale Coatl.
Set up your Izzet decks to explode by getting Prowess creatures on the board early. Blue and red have a handful to grab, including Jeskai Elder, Shipwreck Dowser, Mistral Singer, Heartfire Immolator, and the super-Prowess creature Spellgorger Weird. Then, unload your hand of cheap spells for an all-out attack using Shock, Crash Through, and Unsubstantiate. This decks signpost uncommon, Experimental Overload, plays a nice follow-up role, allowing you to create a big elemental and reload one of your best spells.
Make lots of creatures if youre Boros in M21 because youll need them. Red White is all about going wide, so invest early in small attackers like Igneous Cur and the pairs signpost uncommon, Alpine Houndmaster. Mid-game token plays like Valorous Steed and Falconer Adept are also welcome. Then, finish the game with a bang by empowering your attackers using Bolt Hound and Warded Battlements.
There are several other draft-around themes for this set that are possible, though they mostly require specific cards as opposed to more general colors. If you see those cards, feel free to give it a try. But be warned that these decks are much more difficult to get working right.
Shrines are back in the form of M21s Sanctum cycle. All five colors are represented by these Legendary uncommons and theres even a five-color rare to unite them: Sanctum of All.
The weakness of Shrine decks is also their strength: nobody else can get value from them. Youll need to draft a lot, but nobody else will want them. They also require all five colors of mana, so make sure to grab fixing like Prismite along with gainlands. The green Sanctum of Fruitful Harvest is also a high pick for the same reason. This deck is powerful once it gets going, but its also a big puzzle to complete before your opponent can kill you.
M21 also added a rule change to the game, replacing the Hound creature type with Dog to coincide with the approaching JumpStart set. One particular rare in M21, Pack Leader, stands out as a top doggo to draft around.
This deck is essentially an RW go-wide deck that focuses on drafting good boys and attacking with them alongside Pack Leader. Roleplayers like Rambunctious Mutt and Selfless Savior add additional fire to this dogpile.

On Below Deck, no one seems to have more interaction with the charter guests than the chief stew, and Kate Chastain definitely had some memorable experiences with everyone who climbed aboard the yacht in all of her six seasons on the show. However, there was one group of charter guests who really captured the chief stew's heart like no other.
The Twitter account for Peacock recently shared an iconic Below Deck moment to let you know you can find the nautical series on NBCUniversal's new streaming service when it launches July 15. The clip featured the Season 4 moment when deckhand Kyle Dixon dressed in drag and joined one of the charter guests for an epic lip sync on top of the yacht.
Kate replied to Peacock's tweet and shared some behind-the-scenes intel on what happened with the charter guests after Season 4. "I loved these guests so much! We actually stayed in touch and went out together often in NYC," Kate revealed on Twitter. "Theyre AMAZING event planners."
It looks like we're in for another unforgettable set of charter guests on Below Deck Mediterranean, which airs new episodes Mondays at 9/8c. Check out a preview below, and catch up on the entire series through the Bravo app.

Cavalier of Thorns, a mythic rare from the 2020 Core Set, has also been known to appear. It is a 5 converted mana, 5/6 knight with reach that discards five top cards of the deck when cast.
Average Overall Price: $106
Always be wary of the monoliths of red and black in standard. These decks are often cheap, cheerful, and seriously irritating to play against as they weaponize inexpensive combos to put you out of business.
A rare heavy aggro black deck is currently quite popular, using the aforementioned Lurrus, as well as Ikoria mythic rare Fiend Artisan. For 2-black-or-green, Fiend Artisan is a 1/1 that gets +1/+1 for each creature in your graveyard, and has the power to sacrifice creatures to summon other creatures for the same converted mana cost. At around $17, the Fiend brings plenty of bang for the buck.
The tricky Rankle, Master of Pranks is another mainstay, a mythic rare from Throne of Eldraine floating around $12 or so. The 3/3 creature with flying and haste forces each player to discard a card, lose one life or sacrifice a creature every time it deals damage, a true agent of chaos. On the cheaper end, Ravnica Allegiance rare Gutterbones is a steady frontline troop, a 1-black 2/1 that can be returned from the graveyard to your hand any time you can play a sorcery if your opponent has lost life. At $2.50, you can have a full platoon without breaking the bank.

Card-driven tactics games are sure coming out in droves these these days, arent they? The dark fantasy Deck of Ashes is but the latest of the contenders to throw his hat into the ring.
The word is sick. It was only mildly ill with human sin before, but now, the Ash Curse has been unleashed on everything. This is the consequence of the Outcasts a infamous group of four bandits and murderers seeking out Lady Death and the power contained in the Ash Box. Unfortunately, the Box broke as the Outcasts started fighting over it among themselves. They went their separate ways afterwards, tortured both by their pasts and the power coursing through them. But the mysterious Ash Priest seeks them out one by one to offer a solution: kill Lady Death.
So Deck of Ashes technically has four campaigns, one for each character. Theyre all quite similar: root around a node-map getting into battles and collecting loot until the timer runs out and youre faced with the boss of the area. Do this three times and youre off to off Lady Death herself. Hey, its like Slay the Spire, but with wandering around the map instead of relentless climb to the top!
The main difference between the campaigns comes from the character you choose. All Outcasts have their own stories as well powers and a deck of cards they use to battle (some neutral cards also exist). For example, Lucia the Eternal Flame is a fire wizard, offering some of the most impressive outright combat power, doling out Burn effects, and having the most cards that are cast with HP rather than Mana. Former leader of the group and present rogue archetype Sly the Dark Serpent is good with Bleed and Poison effects as well creating temporary cards (even from the decks of other characters), and so on.
The basics of combat remain the same between the four campaigns of Deck of Ashes. Your character has their HP, a slight to dodge or cause criticals, strenght (increases attack power), and five points of mana per turn to cast their cards. Your hand is usually drawn till you have six cards, but various affects can give you more. The most interesting bit here is that played cards go to the Deck of Ashes (gameplay element as title drop!). The default way to refresh them is to wait till your Battle Deck runs low enough that you cant draw up to 6 then you get the option to trade HP for cards.
Of course, various enemy, character, and card effects interact with this system. The Eternal Flame can power quite a few cards by discarding the hand or by having more cards in the Deck of Ashes. Some cards only work while theyre in the Deck. Various foes also discard or even renew cards for you. This isnt always a great thing some cards are better off discarded.
Those are known as Ash cards. But many of the cards in Deck of Ashes have various keywords and modifiers that make them more special than just having a straightforward result. Phoenix cards are great, as they return to your Battle Deck upon use. Non-playable usually goes on cards that do an effect when drawn (some of them are actually bad stuff like diseases). Theres also another system of keywords that describes the type of the card. This is important for some special effects, like Shield trait blocking damage from the next Strike card.
And after the battle, you pitch a tent, which gives you rest points that can be exchanged for healing and/or card restoration. And yes, its more economical to pay HP to get some cards back than to do it after the battle.
But any loot your collect in battle or by exploring the map nodes would be nothing without your camp. Located at the center of the map, this where you trade resources, craft new cards, and heal in Deck of Ashes. The blacksmith uses Ash to craft cards from recipes, and can use the same resource to upgrade cards with a variety of effects (this only works for the starting cards). The biggest use of Ash Master is to renew your deck for free, to burn some cards outside combat, and to get the Phoenix Ritual so that dying in battle wouldnt spell the end of the campaign. The merchant and healer are more much prosaic in their functions and a lot less important.
Each of your camp followers can also be upgraded by their specific resources that you can find in the wilds. Its important to increase your post-battle rest time as soon as possible if not for cards, then for HP restoration.
But enough about friends lets talk about the enemies in Deck of Ashes. They have stats just your character, and they can use a variety of abilities like healing others on death or deflecting every third Strike card back at you. Youll always see the next card theyre going to use, so you can react accordingly.
The enemies range from various disgusting beasts to humans to undead and demons. Again, each set of enemies can have typical traits. For example, beasts are likely to call in more beasts, while sea critters can lay eggs that will hatch after a few turns, and so on.
And this is probably the first area where I can start complaining about Deck of Ashes. The battles last far too long for the variety of enemies and cards that exist in the game. Pretty soon, youll master each characters MO and just start slaughtering low level foes. Its almost automatic: stack the damage effect you have the access to (Burn, Bleed, and/or Poison), and most enemies will go down quite easily. Notable exceptions are the ones that manipulate your deck or have some annoying traits, but the rest are not much more than HP bars that need to be depleted.
Thus, combat in Deck of Ashes mostly about spamming your good cards until the enemy drops. And if you built your deck right, youll end a battle without any health loss, and having restored most of the cards used. This becomes real tedious, real fast.
But whats even more boring is the game map. None of the loot ever feels exciting, as only various potions are something you can use immediately. New cards? Have to be constructed back at the base. Events? Theyre repetitive and dull, lacking in any sort of flavor even when theyre not just hey, one member of your camp offers one of their services outside the camp. Finish the campaign with one character, and youll use the next one to mill around the map killing the most difficult enemies and mining out resources to run down the damn timer faster.
Not like the bosses are that hard. Single enemies in Deck of Ashes are a lot less dangerous than several lesser enemies than can hit you with three attacks before its your turn again.
So gameplay has somewhat solid foundations made boring by balance. What about the visuals? Well, theyre generally good. The art in Deck of Ashes is of decent quality, stylized and grim. The enemy designs are vibrant if not always groundbreaking. Even the battlefield backgrounds have some dynamics to them. Loading screens and cutscenes may be still and of wildly different styles (seriously, loading screens are very much different from dark stylized art everywhere else in the game), but theyre good.
But the node map is boring, and the font choice doesnt match anything else at all Even worse: the taunts that level bosses belch out while you run around the map as well as Ash Masters advice to seek out Ash Storm anomalies are both repetitive and immersion braking. And only part of that is bad writing.
Writing is even more important to Deck of Ashes, since the game features a great degree of voicing. You characters drop quips at the start of battle and when killing enemies and both get old fast, especially with how many battles youre going through. The voice acting in cutscenes is of variable quality. Its good that the devs bothered to get voice actors that seem to be native English speakers, but they can have their failings as well (the merchant guy just the merchant guy).
Deck of Ashes would be a mildly interesting game if it wasnt that boring. The battles last too long and the node map is terrible. It doesnt help that map events are both repetitive and boring. As it is now, its mostly a waste of decent visuals.

Joo Franco is looking forward to what the future holds after making the decision to quit drinking earlier this year.
The Below Deck Mediterranean alum reflected on how far he's come and what's next for him in a post on Instagram on June 23. "I had it all. I lost it all. I chose not to let my poor circumstances turn into excuses. Making my mind up to becoming the person I have decided to be was the first step. Applying myself and investing in myself has been very rewarding and all it took was a change in mindset," Joo wrote. "Decide on a path and walk it!! Appreciate those backing you all the way."
The photo featured in the post showed Joo posing with all of the many certificates "and still counting!" he noted that he has earned in his four years in yachting so far. "This is my round two to becoming successful," Joo also shared in the post. "Round one was great! But this time Im happy."
Joo previously gave an update on how he's doing inhis new sober lifestyle while self-quarantined in South Africa in a video on his Instagram posted on April 10. "Firstly, in this quarantine, and since I said I'm not drinking, I have not had a single drink. It's been fantastic. I'm not going to tell you that it's easy for everyone, but it has been easy for me," Joo said. "I believe that once I made my mind up in not drinking, it's been really easy to stick onto it, partly because I'm probably super stubborn and also because I feel that it's not really that I had an issue with drinking; I feel that my mindset was that I never wanted to stop. And now in making a decision in when to stop, it hasn't been so difficult to stop entirely. So that's been great."
What has been "really tough," Joo said, is being apart from his fiance, Michelle Dicu, who lives in New York. "She was two days short of visiting me and coming top South Africa to spend this time with me. She was working at the time," Joo said in the video. "Yeah, we missed our window by two days, but positivity is strong within us. And we all know that people around us have it worse, and we [are] very lucky."
Joo has been using this time to tackle new challenges, such as building a car, which he has used the money he would have spent on drinking to pay for. "It has been extremely challenging, but my stubbornness will not let it get the [best] of me," he said. "And I will complete it, and I will show you guys what I've done and how I built a car from scratch."
Joo, who took on his first job as a captain following Season 4 of Below Deck Med, has also been productive while in self-quarantine, studying to become even more knowledgable in all things maritime. "I believe that if I can't be on the water, I will learn more about the water, learn more about being a captain and the management side of things, learn more about the weather," he said. "Hopefully, I become an absolute guru in the theory, rules, and regulations, so that I can put it into practice when I come out of this alive and kicking and healthy."
The former bosun remarked how "not waking up a single day in almost 3 months with a hangover has been AWESOME" and showed his dedication to sticking to a new diet in a post showing off his new shorter 'do published on Instagram on May 19.
He also shared a little more about how he and his fiance have been getting through self-quarantine apart. "All thats missing in my life right now - my beautiful lady [Michelle] who is MILES away. Well get through it though!" Joo wrote. "I hope all those separated from their loved ones realise that its hard to be apart but it is temporary and would be harder to not have each other at all. We play backgammon and do yoga together online! She kicks my ass at both!"
In a more recent Instagram post from earlier this month, Joo revealedhow he stays focused even when times are tough. "Hours on hours of studying. Every time I hit a mental block and information stops sinking in, I make a coffee, stand outside, watch the ocean and remind myself why!" he said. "And I get back to it!"

With no set timeline in place for the return of live music and events, many venues around the city are getting creative as summer starts to encourage folks to get out and about. Bostons House of Blues is no exception.
The live music venue has unveiled The Deck on Lansdowne, an outdoor space located atop the Lansdowne Garage. The new outdoor bar overlooking Lansdowne Street officially opens this Friday (June 26), and will be open Thursdays through Sundays until October.
The food menu is served up by House of Blues Boston chef Kevin Doherty with a focus on pizza, plus Mediterranean and fruit and cheese platters. The Sausage Guy is also on board, dishing out sausages and other grill items.
The drink list includes Harpoon IPA, White Claw, City Roots Cider, Jacks Abby, Fiddlehead IPA, Mighty Squirrel, Springdale Sour Series, Narragansett Del Shandy, Goose Island and more.
Transactions will cashless with contactless ordering and payment via phones for each table; seating is limited to parties of up to six guests.
The safety of our guests and staff is always our top priority and planned for accordingly, states Live Nation in a press release. We encourage those who are sick to stay home, and remind everyone coming to The Deck on Lansdowne to wear a mask when they are not seated at a table, wash their hands with soap and water and use hand sanitizer. We continue to implement preventive measures in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health agencies.
The hours for The Deck on Lansdowne will be Thursdays from 4 to 10 p.m.; Fridays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturdays from noon to 11 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to close.

With more time spent at home, now is the perfect time to seize the everyday and tackle tasks around the home that you may not have had the time to in the past. From D.I.Y. fence and patio repair tips to how to create your own backyard oasis for your family, Canadian Tire and Yahoo Canada are proud to help Canadians get there by bringing you everything you need for the season.
As you prepare your outdoor space for BBQ and patio season, ask yourself this: When was the last time you gave your fence and deck a refresh?
If its been several years, chances are some upgrades and repairs are needed. If you notice any staining and discolouration, mildew or old wood fibres collecting (which are all caused by exposed elements) after inspection, determine if it's time to replace your wooden fixtures completely or make minor updates.
While it may sound like a pricey job if left to the professionals, making repairs to your fencing and deck panels yourself can be a cost-efficient and fulfilling project you can do yourself. And with more time spent at home this year, its the perfect time to tackle any DIY passion projects you may have been putting off and revamp the ultimate outdoor space for your family to enjoy.
Plus, while more difficult and time-consuming tasks are of course for the adults of the house, safe tasks (even something as simple as sweeping!) are a great way to get the kids involved in a project that will leave everyone feeling like theyve made an impact!
To help you, weve rounded up helpful tips for ensuring you get the job done right and everything you need to do it.
Before you jump into fence or deck maintenance, its essential to determine whether you need to completely replace, or just restore.
According to Geno Scopelleti, who alongside his son Marino have owned and operated Sunnylea Homes, a Toronto-based general contracting company for more than 35 years, if half of the length of your fence is in poor condition, it might be time to replace the whole thing. By performing an inspection each year for any signs of decay (whether the wood is discoloured, soft, crumbling etc.) to ensure you catch problems early.
Story continues
Regardless of whether youre restoring a stained or damaged fence or deck or completely starting from scratch with a new build, youll need to sand. All wood, except manufactured items like composite wood need to be sanded. Start by using a sander with a heavier grit belt, using a palm sander for areas the belt sander cant reach. Then, doing a once-over with a lighter grit belt for an ultra-smooth surface thats ready for staining.
For precision and control, this Orbit Sander from MAXIMUM is made with a separate counterweight design that reduces vibration for improved comfort while its short height allows you to get closer to the workpiece.
If youre replacing deck or fence wood, its essential to start with a good cut job. And when it comes to woodworking projects, a portable saw is a must-have!
With so many options, it can be tough to know which is best for your project, but you cant go wrong with a circular saw, like this one from MAXIMUM. Its great for everything from cutting deck boards to doing small fixes around your house to make your space more enjoyable.
Any handyperson knows that cleaning and applying a protective coat of wood stain to your deck and fence can help extend the life of your hard work, while also giving it an instantly updated look.
This semi-transparent stain by Premier offers weather-repellent protection without obscuring the wood grain resists cracking and peeling for a long-lasting, natural Cedar-like finish.
The more time your deck and fence sit in the sun, the more damage will occur. To get rid of any mould, mildew or dust, we recommend cleaning wooden surfaces regularly especially if youve recently overhauled your deck or fence. Frequent maintenance will extend the life of your deck or fence and help prevent issues down the line.
Made without bleach or any harsh chemicals that can taint the finish of wood, Thomsons Deck Cleaner & Renewer instantly restores natural wood tone to old weathered wood while removing old wood fibres for a renewed look.
